American silver vase, the plain body engraved with monogram 'FFC' for Francis Folsom Cleveland, stamped sterling, 8.5 cm high, 95 gr. Francis Folsom Cleveland (1864-1947), married President Grover Cleveland (1837-1908) on 2nd June 1886. Provenance; Collection of US President Grover Cleveland (1837-1908) (in office 1885-9 and 1893-7) and his descendants. He was the only President to serve two non-consecutive terms of office. Including some of his wife's jewellery (Frances Folsom), and silver. Acquired from two of the President's grand-daughters, Marion Frances (Daniel) nee Bosanquet, (1919-2016) and her sister Philippa Ruth (Foot) nee Bosanquet, by bequest and gift. Their mother Esther was the only child born at The White House to a serving American President.

Ashdown. Produce Stake won by Cuba Peasant Boy- Honeymoon, divided. November 20th 1880. The South of England Club was for hare coursing with greyhounds. The Produce Stake was one of the more prestigious and was held for dogs and bitches. Please note the standard of this vase is Britannia and not sterling
A scarce Scottish provincial silver vase shape pounce pot or sander by Robert Keay I or II, Perth early 19th century, with a turned finial to the screw-on cap, a screw-on domed cover, engraved with scroll foliage around a vacant reserve, 10cm (4in) high, 76g (2.45 oz) Robert Keay I started using a rectangular punch in about 1812. His nephew continued to use this punch after 1839.
