An iconic early Art Deco Hancock & Sons Morris ware hand painted art pottery vase with flowering carnations by George Cartlidge dating between 1918 and 1926, of flask shaped form standing on a narrow rounded base with a wide squat rounded body, having decoration of flowering carnation stems applied in a tubelined fashion up the body of the vase in purple and teal on a mottled green ground. The vase has printed makers marks to the base along with George Cartlidge facsimile signature.
