A Rare Set of Exhibition Microscope Slides Owned by Carpenter & Dallinger, light wood flip front case with 6 trays, hand written label to lid reads 'Dr W. B. Carpenter, Tests, with his Initials and Photograph' a second label reads 'Dr. Carpenter was the author of "The Microscope and its Revalations" since edited by Dallinger', inside is a typed card which reads 'A box of slides, once the property of W.B. Carpenter author of THE MICROSCOPE AND ITS REVALATIONS, and of which the seventh and eighth editions were extensively edited and re-written by Dallinger. The box contains Carpenter's 'Tests' with his initials; also his writings on glass, three slides given to him by C. Todd Owen and three butterfly scale pictures labelled "From Dr. Dallinger's Collection".The box once belonged to the late Mr Insch; it passed to Miss Nicholls and I acquired it from her many years ago. ARTHUR BARRON'The slides include:A slide with Farrant's paper, label reads 'Diameters of blood discs engraved on glass, Dr. Carpenter' second label reads 'Revelations of the Microscope 1/25 x 1/24 + 1/600'.A slide with Farrant's paper, label reads 'Engraved on glass, Dr. Carpenter' a second label reads 'Diagram of Blood disks'.A slide with Farrant's paper, label reads 'The writing is Dr. Carpenters signature' a second label reads 'W.
