A Vase, Daoguang mark and period (1821-1850), well painted on the ovoid body with five dragons, one confronting, the eyes picked out in green, amongst clouds, flames and pearls, between breaking waves and banana leaves, the short flared neck and foot with ruyi, the shoulders with elephant and fixed ring gilt handles, six character seal mark in red, 41cm ??? ??????????? ??®??????¯???, Slight enamel wear to mask heads and gilding on rings. Slight rubbing to gilding on rim. Otherwise no obvious faults.

A powder-blue-ground Vase, late 19th century, the baluster body with gold dragons amongst clouds below lotus, the base with false gadroons, repaired and drilled, 47cm ?????? ????????????, One third of the rim is broken in two and restored above and under rim, and resprayed. Gilding rubbed throughout, drilled to base to accommodate an electric cable. Some unknown black speckling within the glaze on the lower neck and shoulder on one side of the vase.

A sang-de-boeuf Vase, mid 19th century, the mallet body and wide neck under a streaked purple and blood-red glaze, later ottoman silver mount and cover engraved with leaves, 27.8cm ??????? ????????, No obvious faults aside from the later mounts.

An unusual celadon-ground Vase, early 19th century, painted in underglaze blue with the `Hundred Boys` at various pursuits including bird fancying, lighting fireworks and the legend of Sima Guang, and enhanced in bright enamels and gilding with flowers, butterflies, birds and fruit, the neck with seeded blue dragon handles, slight wear, 62.3cm Sima Guang was a Song sage who, in his boyhood, had saved a young companion who had fallen into a large jar, by smashing it with a stone. While frequently found on Kakiemon, Chelsea and Meissen, it is uncommon on Chinese porcelain. ?????? ??????????????, Losses to gilded decoration. Some small areas of enamel loss.

A famille rose Vase, Daoguang (1821-1850), with ovoid body and frilled neck, the shoulders with applied pink, green and gilt chilong, enamelled and gilt overall with immortals, precious objects, flowers and butterflies, the neck with Buddhist lions grasping blue-enamelled balls, 44cm ??? ????????????????, One chilong with left front leg restored. Some enamels erased and gilding rubbed throughout.

A famille verte Vase and Cover, second half of 19th century, painted with a pheasant in a magnolia above peony, rocks and chrysanthemums, the domed cover with Buddhist lion knop, 36cm (2) ???????? ?????????, There are two small chips to the underside of the lid flange, otherwise vase has no obvious faults.

An unusual famille rose Vase, c.1830, well painted with a figure, probably Laozi, dismounted from his ox and presenting a scroll to a dignitary, between rocks and a fence, the elongated ovoid body minutely brown crackled, four character incised Chenghua mark, 28.2cm ??1830? ????????, Glazing crazed throughout. No obvious chips, cracks or damage.

A Part Pagoda, AFC Liao dynasty (916-1125), the sides with pierced windows and on a stand, held by six figures under a thatched roof, together with another Base, a conical Vase, moulded with scrolling lotus, and two other Pieces, pagoda 33cm (6) This lot is accompanied by a Thermoluminescence Analysis Report from Oxford Authentication Ltd. dated 23 October 2002. ? ????, Firing cracks. Thermoluminescence test hole in base for all pieces.

A large famille rose Vase and Cover, c.1760, finely painted in a mandarin palette with figures, dogs, and musical instruments, reserved in panels on a gilt and red diaper ground, the domed cover matching, cut down, fitted for electricity, 40cm, fixed wood stand (2) ??1760? ?????????????, The neck no longer present. The lid fitted with a metal mount for a lamp and with varying sized chips around the rim. The main body with chips around the rim. Some small enamel losses. Lid and base of vase are drilled to accomodate an electric cable.

A pair of famille rose Jars and Covers, early 20th century, each globular body with various gourds, leaves, tendrils and butterflies, the slightly domed covers with spire knops, one knop reset, 23cm high (4) ????? ????????????, One lid with small chip to knop, one vase has a small chip to the rim, both with gilding losses to the rim. No other obvious faults.

A Chinese ornamental jade Group, late Qing dynasty, carved in 18th century style with a vessel amongst leafy branches of Buddha`s finger citron with large and small fruits, and with a feng perched on a lingzhi, the head turned back and biting on a branch of peach, the stone of green-grey tone with russet speckling, one chip, 16.5cm, silver wire-inlaid hardwood stand (2) This scholar`s desk object may have originally had a cover on the vase - or it may have been intended as a brush pot. ?? ????????, Chip to one frond of a fruit tendril, a hairline inclusion running laterally through the base of the carving. Vessel probably lacking a cover. Brown discolouration. Some slight abrasions and some sharp edges. Stand has missing end section and large deposits of soft composition (possibly to stick jade to stand). Possibly some old repairs, but hard to tell.

A hardstone Vase and Cover, early 20th century, the spade body enclosed by high relief peony above a pheasant on a rock, all in a jade-like green stone, the waisted neck with elephant head handles and loose rings, the domed cover also with peony, some minor chipping, 26.3cm overall, fixed wood stand (3) ????? ??????????????, Cover - stem and leaves broken and glued or missing, Handles - only one tusk intact, one trunk resin? restored. Main body - some tiny chips to peony leaves, resin? restorations to two stems.

An archaic hardstone Vase and Cover, early 20th century, the green and grey mottled body carved in low relief with chilong, the neck with large mask and tongue handles, the tall cover with scrolls, 19.4cm, stand (3) ????? ???????????, One mask handle with a small knock to crest. Otherwise no obvious faults.

A finely carved and polished Guanyin, possibly 18th century, seated cross-legged on a high plinth, her six arms with leaf, sword, two moons, axe and vase, two acolytes on either side and a praying figure amongst clouds at the base, minor chips to aureole, 18.5cm ?????(??) ??????????, Chips to mandila. A third of the front of base broken and repaired right across.

A jade small Vase, 19th century, in the form of a large, curled, lotus leaf, with reeds and an egret, the stone pale grey and with large, mottled brown areas, 9.3cm ????? ????????????, Chip to the leaf of an upturned lotus, which forms part of the base.
