MOORCROFT; a Florian Ware floral tubeline decorated slender waisted vase with wavy rim, MacIntyre & Co printed mark and William Moorcroft signature to base, dated 1917, height 31.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Extensive crazing to the glaze throughout, possible extensive restoration to the rim as the glaze appears to be re-fired and the picture is slightly differing, wear to base.
MOORCROFT; a 'Pansy' pattern tubeline decorated squat baluster vase, bearing sticker 'By Appointment Potters to the late Queen Mary' to the base, height 7.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Fine crazing to the glaze particularly visible in areas of the leaves, minor surface wear such as tiny scratches and small area of imperfection to the tips of one of the leaves which appears to be on the glaze which also might indicate minor restoration.
A Royal Lancastrian Lapis ware vase of ovoid form glazed turquoise, beige and blue, number 198, impressed with ET Rogers initials to base, height 19cm. CONDITION REPORT: Extensive crazing throughout otherwise appears to be in generally good condition only with some mild surface dirt commensurate with age and wear to edge of the base.
A Royal Lancastrian vase of ovoid form decorated in green with stylised floral motifs on light grey ground, number 202, with impressed ET Ratford initials, height 16.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Appears to be in good condition with no obvious traces of damage or restoration, crazing to the glaze throughout, wear to base with areas of fritting and a few shallow chips to the edge.
TROIKA; a brown glazed vase with band of zigzag decoration, signed to base and artist initials for Simone Killburn, height 26cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a very fine internal hairline crack running from the rim. There are two or three further minute fine hairline cracks in the neck and some patches of staining to the interior, light surface wear to the exterior.
Five pieces of Old Tupton Ware ceramics comprising three vases, jug and hinged trinket box, all with tubelined floral decoration, height of tallest approx 27cm (5). CONDITION REPORT: Trumpet vase has crack to rim, other pieces ok with minor manufacturing imperfections and surface wear.
A pair of egg shaped vases decorated with blackberries on a textured gilt ground, supported by three stylised dolphins on tripartite bases, height 21cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: One vase has a broken lid, both have losses to the gilt bases, one dolphin has been cracked and crudely repaired, one rim has cracks, surface wear and dirt commensurate with age.
An early 19th century Coalport porcelain floral encrusted decorated trio comprising a baluster vase with gilt heightened foliate scroll decorated rim, handles and base, height 28cm, and a matching pair of smaller examples, height 24.5cm, unmarked (3). CONDITION REPORT: Numerous areas of losses to the floral encrusted decoration particularly to the pair of smaller vases where it seems there is a larger piece missing from central body of each vase, also one of the smaller vases has got a hair line crack spreading from the rim.
A Sitzendorf porcelain figural bowl modelled as a cherub supporting a floral encrusted decorated shell, on similarly decorated base, mark to underneath, number 600, height 35.5cm and an Austrian 'Victoria' flat baluster vase decorated with mythological scene, height 17.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: General minor surface wear and dirt commensurate with age, areas of losses to encrusted decoration both to the shell and base, a few manufacturing imperfections particularly to area of left knee/calf, area of losses to the wing, minor chip to the little finger of left hand, rubbing to the gilt and areas of crazing.
A Continental porcelain lamp, the stem flanked by a pair of cherubs among flowers, height 40cm, a 20th century Meissen baluster vase with floral decoration on gilt and blue ground, height 25cm and a late 19th century Meissen floral decorated cup and saucer (3). CONDITION REPORT: Lamp: Some losses and nibbles to shaped rim, a number of losses and chips to foliate moulding, probably loss and restoration of right and left thumbs of both cherubs (as seen in picture), firing cracks to both arms of right cherub, crude restoration, firing crack and further nibbles to foot rim, rubbing to glaze and painted decoration. Vase: Hollow, tinny, and a short ring, rubbing to decoration. Cup: Chip to rim, rubbing, further nibbles.Saucer: Nibbles to foot rim, rubbing.
A Royal Worcester Art Deco style faceted tapering vase with impressed mould motifs to lower body, marked in puce to base, number 2862, date code for 1933, height 17cm. CONDITION REPORT: Crazing to the glaze particularly along the rim, some surface dirt and areas of wear mainly to floral decoration with some flaking to the paint and fine crazing, crazing to base, possibly second quality.
