Her father was the headmaster of the local school. Antoinette began painting at the age of nine, inspired by her grandfather who was also an artist. She spent many hours painting and drawing with her grandfather, he was her first teacher. Painting was Antoinette's passion, during her life, she painted more than a thousand oil paintings. 1938 - 1943 Academy of Art and Design, Arnhem, Holland 1947 Antoinette travelled to England to learn English and then on to South Africa 1957 Married Alexander Holland and moved to Tunbridge Wells 1959 Birth of daughter Rosalind 1965 - 1973 Attended art classes at the Adult Education Centre, Tunbridge Wells.
