A Vase, Daoguang mark and period (1821-1850), well painted on the ovoid body with five dragons, one confronting, the eyes picked out in green, amongst clouds, flames and pearls, between breaking waves and banana leaves, the short flared neck and foot with ruyi, the shoulders with elephant and fixed ring gilt handles, six character seal mark in red, 41cm ??? ??????????? ??®??????¯???, Slight enamel wear to mask heads and gilding on rings. Slight rubbing to gilding on rim. Otherwise no obvious faults.

A powder-blue-ground Vase, late 19th century, the baluster body with gold dragons amongst clouds below lotus, the base with false gadroons, repaired and drilled, 47cm ?????? ????????????, One third of the rim is broken in two and restored above and under rim, and resprayed. Gilding rubbed throughout, drilled to base to accommodate an electric cable. Some unknown black speckling within the glaze on the lower neck and shoulder on one side of the vase.

An unusual celadon-ground Vase, early 19th century, painted in underglaze blue with the `Hundred Boys` at various pursuits including bird fancying, lighting fireworks and the legend of Sima Guang, and enhanced in bright enamels and gilding with flowers, butterflies, birds and fruit, the neck with seeded blue dragon handles, slight wear, 62.3cm Sima Guang was a Song sage who, in his boyhood, had saved a young companion who had fallen into a large jar, by smashing it with a stone. While frequently found on Kakiemon, Chelsea and Meissen, it is uncommon on Chinese porcelain. ?????? ??????????????, Losses to gilded decoration. Some small areas of enamel loss.

Some enamels erased and gilding rubbed throughout.

A large famille rose Vase and Cover, c.1760, finely painted in a mandarin palette with figures, dogs, and musical instruments, reserved in panels on a gilt and red diaper ground, the domed cover matching, cut down, fitted for electricity, 40cm, fixed wood stand (2) ??1760? ?????????????, The neck no longer present. The lid fitted with a metal mount for a lamp and with varying sized chips around the rim. The main body with chips around the rim. Some small enamel losses. Lid and base of vase are drilled to accomodate an electric cable.

A Chinese ornamental jade Group, late Qing dynasty, carved in 18th century style with a vessel amongst leafy branches of Buddha`s finger citron with large and small fruits, and with a feng perched on a lingzhi, the head turned back and biting on a branch of peach, the stone of green-grey tone with russet speckling, one chip, 16.5cm, silver wire-inlaid hardwood stand (2) This scholar`s desk object may have originally had a cover on the vase - or it may have been intended as a brush pot. ?? ????????, Chip to one frond of a fruit tendril, a hairline inclusion running laterally through the base of the carving. Vessel probably lacking a cover. Brown discolouration. Some slight abrasions and some sharp edges. Stand has missing end section and large deposits of soft composition (possibly to stick jade to stand). Possibly some old repairs, but hard to tell.

The vase - one third of base missing, cracks to the remaining part, plant stem missing.

A fine reverse Mirror Glass Painting, c.1760, painted with a girl dressing her hair, set with feng, ruyi and ball hairpins amongst peony, wearing a red robe with elaborately gilt collar and with a lingzhi pendant hung from a gold torque, a table behind her set with a Yixing teapot and tea bowls, and a vase with chrysanthemums and red chicken-comb flower, slight wear to frame, plate degraded as usual, 52 x 40cm overall, original gilt, black lacquer frame ??1760? ?????? , Mirror silvering pitted, some losses to the frame. Paint flaked on the hand-held mirror knop.

A bronze Bodhisatteva, possibly Wanli (1573-1620), thinly cast cross-legged on a lotus throne, her hands in vitarka mudra, a vase and bird to each shoulder and wearing a high crown, the whole later red-painted, 27.7cm ???(??) ??????, Red lacquer chipped to nose, chin, hands, bird and other high points and further throughout the figure.
