H. 27,5 cm, Dm. (mit Henkeln) 43 cm. - A Warwick Vase France, probably Barbedienne, 19th century. Excellent bronze cast, red-brown patinated. Crater shaped vase, decorated with half plastic heads of Dionysus and companions. Modelled on the marble vase found in 1771 on the site of the Hadrian's Villa in Rome, of which numerous replicas in various sizes and materials were made in the 19th century. h. 27,5 cm, diam. Ab 1985 begann er neben Wänden auch Leinwände zu bemalen. Seine ikonischen, aufs Wesentliche reduzierte Figuren sicherten ihm bald weltweite und bis heute ungebrochene Popularität.
