A George III Silver Sugar-Bowl, Maker's Mark Lacking, London, 1802 the bowl tapering and pierced with slats and bands of foliage, each side with a cartouche, three pierced with a vase and one engraved with a crest, on square base with pierced foliage band, with conforming blue glass liner15.5cm high, weight of silver 5oz 16dwt, 181grMarked on base. The maker's mark is lacking. There is possibly the remains of the maker's mark above the date letter. Otherwise, the marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The blue glass liner is perhaps later.
A George V Scottish Silver Vase, by William Hamilton and Son, Edinburgh, 1921 probably inspired by the Traprain Law treasure, baluster and with beaded foot23.5cm high, 15oz 18dwt, 495grThe Traprain Law treasure is the largest hoard of Roman hacksilver as yet discovered. It was found in East Lothian in 1919 and sent to the Edinburgh silversmiths Brook and Son to be restored. Brook and Son also made copies, as did other silversmiths, of pieces from the Hoard. The copies were usually made to suit contemporary tastes and often had a beaded border like that on the present vase. The most likely inspiration is an item, described as a flagon, which is now in the collection of the National Museum of Scotland (X.GVA.1). It is of similar shape, though decorated with biblical scenes.Fully marked underneath. The marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.
A Wedgwood Black Basalt Bronzed and Gilt Vase, circa 1900, of ovoid Classical form, applied with four moulded ram masks supporting floral garlands and with wreaths containing trophies of arms and musical instruments, impressed WEDGWOOD, ENGLAND, numbered 189128cm highCover lacking. Drilled to the lower anthemia collar for use as a tablelamp, (no useful fitting remain). No further noted damage. Some gilt wear. With original tensioner bolt, now loose.

Nine pieces of late 19th and early 20th century Royal Worcester blush porcelain:two urn-shaped vases with fluted necks and a squat ovoid example;a cream jug with gilded handle;a spoon warmer in the form of a scuttle;two shaped trinket dishes;an oval and a circular box and cover, each decorated in enamels with various flowers and floral sprays and with printed marks to the undersides.Condition Report: Very dirty and dusty. Largest jug is 12.5cm. Good overall condition. Coal scuttle gilded handle - good order. Tall vase - grubby but no major problems noted. A circular lidded pot and cover - no problems noted. A squat vase of ovoid form - no problems. A smaller vase of baluster form - minor gilt rubbing to the foot. Small oval dish and cover - good order. Two small frilled edge trinket dishes - no problems noted on either (v minor pinhead sized chips to top of gilding on edge).

A large mid-19th century serpentine-sided papier-mâché serving tray on a later conforming stand. The hand-gilded tray also decorated in oils with a vase of flowers standing on a marble table top and further flowers below (old reparations) (81 x 62.5 cm). The ebonised and gilt highlighted stand designed in early 19th century style with turned tapering annulated legs slightly splaying at the ends and united by a crossform stretcher. (48 cm high with tray on stand.)
