Genuine DESMO vintage Flower Vase. Excellent condition. I would guess nickel plate over brass. No sign of plating rub. No marks or scratches, or signs of previous repair. Has a spring bayonet to back plate for fast removal. Desmo was British top emblem and badge maker, this is Desmo stamped. Approx 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" dia. Fitted to Vintage Rolls Royce, Bentley saloons
Rene Lalique (1860-1945). A 1920s French Art Deco opalene glass vase. Decorated in the Lievres pattern with a band of hares over a ground of foliage. Engraved signature R. Lalique, France and numbered 942, 15.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Very good condition. No chips or cracks.
A pair of Royal Doulton Slaters patent long necked baluster vases, the necks in dark pink, the bodies decorated with gilt heightened incised floral decoration, impressed marks to base for 1902-1922, shape no.3335F, height 27.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Rubbing to gilding around rims and base of necks, surface dirt, a little crazing to glaze on necks, some white spots to neck of one vase which seem to be firing floors.
A Locke & Co Worcester gilt heightened blush ivory three section pierced spill vase in the form of bamboo shoots, shape 363, with green "Shrub Hill Works" stamp to base, and a gilt heightened white example with black stamp, height 19cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: White spill vase has hairline cracks between sections on the base, blush ivory spill vase has very small hairlines to base, rubbing to gilding and paint commensurate with age, surface dirt on both.
A collection of Locke & Co Worcester blush ivory ceramics with moulded floral and foliate designs, comprising a globular bowl, shape 855A, with hallmarked silver fluted rim, Birmingham 1903, a tall vase, shape 810A, a bud vase, shape 820 and a flared footed vase, shape 434A, three with green mark to base and one with black Worcester mark to base. CONDITION REPORT: Some rubbing to gilding commensurate with age, possibly top mount missing to top of posy vase.
A small Locke & Co Worcester blush ivory vase with pierced rim, painted with a scene of Loch Achray and signed "W Stinton", shape 138, with green "Worcester" stamp to base, height 13.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: A small area of possible restoration one shoulder.
A Locke & Co Worcester globular vase with moulded shaped rim decorated with a chaffinch on a flowering prunus twig, shape 463, with green "Shrub Hill Works" stamp to base, height 12cm, and a small Locke & Co globular vase with gilt heightened rim, and decorated with a goldfinch on a gilt twig, shape 55, with painted mark to base, height 7cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The globular vase has a tiny chip through the gilding at the rim, the other vase has a small amount of wear to gilding on the rim and round the neck. Otherwise appear good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A small Locke & Co Worcester blush ivory squat ewer with painted floral decoration and gilt heightened moulded neck, shape 470, and a Locke & Co moulded and florally painted bud vase, both with black "Worcester" stamp to base, height of ewer 12cm, height of vase 15cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: On the ewer there is a very small firing imperfection bubble under a flower. On the bud vase, the gilt heightening is rubbed. Surface dirt to both, otherwise appear good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A collection of Locke & Co blush ivory moulded ceramics comprising a pierced globular organic bowl, shape 507, a boat shaped dish, a pierced oval shaped bowl in the form of leaves, shape 268, a cornucopia shaped vase, a pair of wall pockets, and a further wall pocket, shape 129, with various stamps to bases (7). CONDITION REPORT: Most of the items have a little wear to gilding on the edges and rims. The cornucopia vase has had extensive restoration to the rim down towards the tail.
