Three Caithness 'Cadenza' pattern vases designed by Colin Terris, also a Caithness 'Spinningdale' pattern vase, all four vases are in their original boxes. (4) Colin Terris worked for the Scottish company, Caithness from 1968-2001, then returned briefly in 2004. Renowned internationally for his paperweights, Colin was awarded and MBE in 1991 for his contribution to British glass. The Cadenza pattern vases were designed in 1986 by Colin, however the complexity and difficulty in production meant the range was short lived and stopped after 2 or 3 years.
A large Andrew Thompson glass vase/vessel, it is signed and dated for 2006.Note: Andrew Thompson was an apprentice of Michael Boyd , a famous Pacific Northwest glass artist. Andrew was inspired by Murano cane techniques and vessels and that can be clearly seen in this piece and was probably made at Foci Glass. In 2013 he began to collaborate with James Estes at Rainbow Glass Productions.
