A pair of Chinese Cloisonne vases, Late Qing Dynasty (1664-1912) Each of rounded bulbous form, rising to a flared everted rim , the body delicately inlaid with fine silver wire depicting several mythical beasts including several Shishi in pursuit of brocade balls, Qilin amidst trailing ribbons and four-clawed dragons before fire scrolls, reserved against a pale blue ground, below aventurine and lotus flowerhead borders, 19cm high. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1000: First Vase- Inner green rim has several impact fractures, to enamel. Several losses to enamel at inner rim. Large area of impact fractures at the body of the vase, with large area of loss to the enamel, approx 3cm x 2cm in size. Secondary impact fracture approx 1cm x 1cm with associated losse. Second vase- Small areas of loss to the enamel at the inner green rim. One impact fracture with associated losses to the enamel, approx 1cm x 1cm. Small dents to the footrim. Hairline crack to body approx 5cm in length.

(2) (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Condition Report Lot 1033: 1st Vase Extensive loss and wear to the enamel at the finial, minor scratching to the enamel and gilt at the cover, glaze yellowing visible to the interior of the vase, small shallow chip to the foot rim approximately 0.5 - 1cm in size, minor scratching to the enamel and gilt throughout, uneven base so doesn't sit properly straight. 2nd Vase Extensive rubbing and wear to the gilt and enamel at the finial, applied filler at the inner rim, darkened crazing at the rim of the cover, rubbing and wear to the gilt and enamel throughout.

A large and impressive Chinese Canton famille rose vase, Circa 1860 The baluster form vase, gently rising to a sloped neck and terminating at a scalloped flowerhead rim, the neck flanked by twin solid gilt shishi and cub handles, the body further relief moulded with wrythen three-clawed gilt dragons, the body painted with a series of fan shaped cartouche filled with dignitaries holding court, reserved against a trellis work and floral spray ground, further enamelled with precious objects and musical trophies , and reserved against a burnished gilt ground, mounted on original carved hardwood stand, 86cm high. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in structurally sound condition and is free from any cracks or chips. The gilt has extensively rubbed away from the relief area, most noticeably the handles and the dragon relief designs Lower foot rim has extensive scuffing and wear to the foot rim, however free from chips Enamel and further gilt ground has minor wear to the enamel.
