CONDITION REPORT: Both vases are in generally good condition with no repairs and no restoration. Both have some minor rubbing to the gilding. They are both crazed in the usual manner. A minor issue to one vase is a feint hairline crack running from the top lip down the inside of the vase around and underneath the neck. This is not visible on the outside of the vase.

The jug is also a little dirty but there is no evidence of any repairs or restoration and only very minor rubbing to the gilding on the top lip.

Lot 109

A Royal Worcester lidded pot pourri, painted with sheep in landscape by Barker, puce printed mark to base also 278. Height 13 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The vase and cover both appear to be in generally good order and free from any repairs or restoration. There are no issues with the lid other than minor traces of dirt to the underside edge. The vase rim has a hairline crack running from the top lip to the shoulder of the vase. This is visible from the inside and out and runs for about 1 cm. This is much mor visible from the interior. There do not appear to be any scratches of any significance to the main body. The gilding is in generally very good order.

Lot 136

A Victorian opaline vase, decorated with flowering branches and raised on short feet. Height 19 cm.

Lot 14

A late 19th century Japanese bronze vase, relief moulded with birds and flowers. Height 31 cm, diameter +/- 18 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in generally good condition with no significant issues. There are some minor dings and marks to the main body of the vase and around the foot rim but no significant or substantial damage.

Lot 144

A large Royal Doulton stoneware vase in the Art Nouveau style, relief moulded with floral designs and swags, impressed marks to base. Height 36 cm (see illustration).

Lot 15

A 19th century Cantonese yellow ground vase, elaborately decorated with foliate designs and with gilt handles. Height 35.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The vase appears to be in generally good condition. We were told by the vendor that there has been some repair to the top rim but this has clearly been professionally done and is very difficult to see. The vase itself has numerous small areas of loss to the yellow areas. This does not appear to be fired but seems to be more like paint. It is flaking off in places. The yellow areas appear fired in places but in some other areas the paintwork seems to readily chip off. There are numerous small paint or enamel losses if you look carefully at the vase.

Lot 169

A large Doulton Slater's Patent vase, relief moulded in typical fashion and with impressed marks to base. Height 42 cm.

Lot 189

A Wemyss pottery five piece toilet set, decorated with grouse, pheasants and ducks within green rims, each piece monogrammed H, retailed by Thomas Goode & Co London (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The jug has discolouration and crazing around the top lip. There is a chip to the underside edge of the foot rim. There are however no other chips or cracks and no repairs or restoration. The grouse painting is generally very good. The basin is not chipped but is generally all over crazed and more significantly so than the jug. Again there is no evidence of any restoration. The vase has four top edge chips and a hairline crack emanating from one. It is a little discoloured around the top rim. There is an under edge chip to the foot rim. The soap dish liner is in generally good order. The two handled stand is again in generally good condition with no chips or losses but is yellowed and crazed. Both handles are in good order. The small soap dish lid is in good condition. The drainage liner has had a break to the edge and two pieces poorly glued back in position. The base is discoloured and crazed and has one small 4mm hairline crack. There is no restoration to the jug. We have looked carefully around the top lip and at all of the discoloured area. The crazing is identical to the rest of the jug, it is simply more visible because of the discolouration.

Lot 190

A pair of mid 19th century Meissen floral encrusted porcelain pot pourri vases and covers, each 23 cm high. Each under Victorian clear glass domes with ebonised bases, the domes each 28 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Neither vase appears to have any repairs or restoration. One vase has a chip to the foot rim through the gilding. Both vases have nibbles and chips to the flower heads and leaves as one would expect. The flower heads and leaves are however in generally surprisingly good order. The tops of the lid to one of the vases is more significantly damaged which should be visible from our images. The second lid is in better condition and has fewer leaf and flower head nibbles. Both domes and bases are in good order. The material to the top of each base is faded not worn or torn. We have one detached flower head.

CONDITION REPORT: The Flambe vase appears to be in generally very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We cannot see any hairline cracks. It is generally a little dirty but there are no significant issues. The Flow Blue vase is in good general condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. When viewed under a loupe there is evidence of fine surface glaze crazing. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding on the top lip.

Lot 201

A Royal Worcester chinoiserie enamel vase, decorated with pagodas and tree against the ivory ground and with date code for 1910. Height 23 cm. This is just visible when viewed from the outside. It is a minor defect. There are no issues with the moulded dragon handles.

Lot 35

A 19th century Chinese crackle ware vase and cover, decorated with chasing dragons. Height 32 cm together with an Imari vase and tea bowl with cover.
