A late nineteenth century Minton Parian ware large figural group, c. 1870. It depicts a reclining lady and her male suitor in a classical setting. Signed J Hen R. Factory marks to the base. 37 cm long. (1)Condition: Lady's foot detached, but present, restoration to the dog, the vase and the lady's head and some minor wear to edges.
* A Chinese monochrome sgrafitto vase, of meiping form with high shoulders and incised decoration depicting floral spray and lotus leaves, unglazed recessed base, 31cm highCR; No cracks, chips or losses. No signs of repair. Fine surface crazing throughout. Some glazing imperfections around the decoration. Some loss of definition to incised decoration, particularly around the base. See pictures for further illustration.
* A Chinese porcelain blue and white gourd vase, 19th century, of double gourd form and externally decorated with a scrolling four-clawed dragon amidst blossoming branches, four character mark to the underside, 21cm high, with a miniature Jun glazed bottle vase, 5cm high (2) (at fault) Condition report; Gourd- Moulding flaw visible which surrounds the shoulder of the largest gourd. Otherwise, no obvious chips or restoration. Some surface scratching and grubbiness. Jun vase- No obvious chips, cracks or restoration.
