The price archive lists this as a 7 1/2in vase with individual costs as 18/- for making, 18/6d for etching and 4/6d for painting. There are some yellowing marks towards the centre of the picture - unsure if this is previous marks by the artist subsequently erased or faded. An early 19th Century Derby pierced bowl of large proportions with floral and gilt decoration, raised on a pedestal base, 35 cm diameter x 20 cm high, together with a pair of Continental vases with gilt decoration and landscape and figural decorated panels, raised on square bases, 24 cm high, together with a similar vase, converted to a table lamp CONDITION REPORTS The Derby basket bowl only - has a significant area of clumsy restoration as though one piece of pierced decoration has been broken and put back in again. Wear to the gilding and paintwork throughout particularly noticeable to one lobe. Surface scratching, etc. Firing faults. In need of a clean. General wear and tear, all conducive with age and use. There is some black marking to the rim and base of the bottom. See images for further detail.

Lot 65

A Japanese eggshell part tea service together with two blue and white prunus decorated ginger jars and a matching vase CONDITION REPORTS Larger ginger jar is completely broken and has been badly re-glued. Smaller ginger jar in need of a good clean and has a chip to the lid inside. Vase has a large hairline crack running down the neck from the rim. All three have firing faults etc, some surface scratches and are in need of a good clean. The eggshell tea service - tea pot is missing lid, milk jug has a crack running down the spout and a chip to the top of the spout. Five of the cups have either repairs or hairline fractures or chips to the rims. The slop bowl/sugar bowl has several cracks running through it throughout. Three saucers have large chips and hairline cracks and six tea plates have chips and hairline cracks. All items have general wear and tear to include some wear to the gilding and paintwork etc - see images for examples
