Timo Sarpaneva - Iittala - Orkidea - An original 1950's Finnish retro vintage studio art glass orchid vase sculpture. Clear glass construction steam blown and hand sculpted. This vase was originally designed in 1953 and exhibited at the 1954 Triennale di Milano, where it was awarded the Grand Prix for outstanding design. Also awarded "Most Beautiful Object of the Year" by House Beautiful magazine in 1954. Signed to base. Measures: 27cm
