A Chinese famille verte yen yen vase 19th century, the robustly-potted baluster body rising from a spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck with broadly flared rim, brightly enamelled and painted around the exterior with iron red peonies amidst scrolling foliage issuing buds in pale purple, blue and yellow, the shoulder with floral sprays within cell diaper decoration below a paper scroll band, underglaze blue double concentric circle mark to base, height 17¾in.
