A SCOTTISH GEORGE III MUSTARD POT AND A WILLIAM IV MUSTARD POT the first of vase shape with two pierced bands, domed lid and reeded handle, the second of melon form with shell thumbpiece and three feet, glass liners, 12.5 and 8.5cm h, the first by Fraser Howden, Edinburgh 1789, the other maker IW, presumably James Wintle, London 1832, 11ozs Scottish mustard pot - old repair to upper junction of handle to body and a strengthening sleeve added inside the stem but these repairs are both well executed and of probable 19th c date, melon shaped mustard pot in fine original condition engraved on the front with a contemporary initial B, the Scottish mustard pot with damaged blue glass liner, the English mustard pot with clear glass liner
