TURTON (W), A CONCHOLOGICAL DICTIONARY, with twenty eight hand coloured engraved plates, all neatly titled in pencil, the title with a double profile of Dr. Turton, formed by the edges of a vase design, this being the only likeness of the author extant, later 1/2 leather, London, John Booth, 1819 (1) CONDITION REPORT: Later binding, binding tight. Some foxing and browning internally.

Canton bowl- 20th century. Rivet repaired. Chips to rim. Japanese saucer - Chips to rim and stained hairline crack. Derby plate - Dirtied chip to rim with descending stained hairline crack. Stained crazing throughout. Underside would benefit from a clean. Rouleau vase- Large chip to foot rim. Gilt finger marks to surface. Pitting visible and light surface scratches.

General pitting and surface wear. Enamel crazing visible. Neck interior appears rather crude. 2x vase- Stained crazing visible. Enamel losses to neck interior. General pitting and surface wear. Plate- Section of enamel lacking to underside approx 5.5cm wide. Stained crazing to underside. General pitting.
A Chinese porcelain vase, of high shouldered form and decorated to the exterior in polychrome enamels with peony and chrysanthemum blossoms and birds perched amongst branches, gilt and iron red highlights, flared neck flanked by two lugs, red character marks to underside, 32cm high CONDITION REPORT: No obvious chips, cracks or restoration. Decoration appears good. Firing mark to foot rim. Some pitting.
