A pair of Japanese Meiji period bronze vases of slender octagonal baluster form, one decorated with cranes the other with turtles, each with scratched two character mark to base, height 27.5cm, also a large Chinese terracotta dragon decorated bottle vase, and a silk painting (4). CONDITION REPORT: Terracotta vase 20th century, general surface wear to all items.
A quantity of silver and silver plate including pair of George V hallmarked silver backed brushes, Birmingham 1927, a loaded trumpet vase, Birmingham 1920, etc, also a pair of Keswick School of Industrial Arts dishes, diameter 10cm, etc. CONDITION REPORT: The Keswick dishes are silver plated.
A Chinese bronze iron with hardstone handle and a pair of Chinese cloisonne enamelled small vases, height 5.5cm. Condition report: Both vases have damage to enamel on the inside, one vase has been slightly squashed, Gilding on both vases rubbed, some small damage to enamel on one vase, the seems to be fine. Circular end of handle is loose, pin in centre of it is showing through, condition good. Some knocks to bronze iron handle has been replaced.
A Japanese Shibayama ivory tusk vase, Meiji period, decorated with trees, boats and a hut, on a carved hardwood stand, height 15cm, width 7cm. Condition report: Two splits in gold lacquer, Ivory is also split behind the tall tree. Ivory stuck to stand. 168gms including stand. Some small chips to top of ivory. Some damage to base.
A Chinese blue and white vase of cylindrical form supporting sloping shoulders and short vertical neck, the body decorated with spaced clusters of pomegranates and hand of Buddha fruits "finger citrus", amidst foliage between bands of rue head and lappet motifs repeated on neck and foot rim, the shoulder and lower body with floral sprays divided by diamond shaped motifs. Guangxu period, on pierced and carved wood stand. Vase height 19cm, diameter 14cm, stand height 5.8cm, diameter 15cm. Condition report: No condition issues. There appears to be a tiny chip on base rim but we think this is under the glaze.
A Chinese yen yen beaker vase, decorated in the famille rose palette on a Juan groundwith a carp and a long writhing four clawed dragon extending around the vase on a background of four star cloud like clusters amidst a mass of scattered stylised clouds, 19th century, on four footed partly openwork circular wood stand, vase height 44.6cm, diameter 22.7cm, stand height 9cm, diameter 18cm Provenance Christie's East Lot 463 10.15.82. Condition report: No condition issues.
A Chinese famille rose porcelain vase, late 18th/early 19th century, in the mandarin pattern, the larger cartouches decorated with figures on a balcony, height 35cm and a good carved wood stand, height 4.5cm, inner diameter 9.3cm. Condition report: 10mm x 5mm chip below top rim.
A Chinese Canton porcelain Song style Kuan bronze hu form vase, with a greyish white bold crackled glaze, the pear shaped body applied around the shoulder with Buddhist lion style mask mock handles supporting rings and two encircling grooves with a brown wash glaze, the latter repeated on the wide foot rim and a moulded recessed square panel with a Yongzheng six character zhuanshu script seal mark. Late Guangxu, height 20.5cm. Condition report: In good overall condition, no condition issues.
