Royal Worcester oviform vase [shape 1969] decorated with birds and signed W Powell - Circa 1911 (H: 31cm)Condition Report: The vase is signed and appears to say W Lowell, although looking at a list of Royal Worcester artists from this period, this is probably W Powell who specialised in painting British birds. The vase is shape number 1969. There are no obvious signs of repair, chips or crazing. There does appear to be some mild build up of dirt commensurate with age and some slight white staining to one side, although this is not as obvious when looking with the naked eye as it is in the photographs. The vase stands approx 31cm tall.
A quantity of glass wares, including; a pair of Bohemian enamelled flash cut vases, 35cm high, a blue glass vase, three 18th century style green glass wine bottles of tapering square form, six Victorian green glass dump paperweights a set of four square glass decanters in a red leather bound metal frame and sundry, (a.f.) (qty).
Assorted silver plate including; a large cornucopia shaped vase; a WMF oval dish surmounted by a squirrel; a WMF silver-plated dish in the form of a half walnut shell, 21cms wide; a baluster Argyle jug and cover; a pair of glass coasters; an oval biscuit box on stand with claw feet; a wine funnel and strainer, an inkwell with bulldog surmount; twelve fruit shaped menu/placeholders, in red velvet box; an Empire style baluster water jug on three scroll legs; a large cylindrical wine cooler, early 19th Century, engraved with a coat-of-arms. A late Victorian Royal Worcester pedestal vase and cover, shape No.2032, decorated in bright enamels with chrysanthemums on an ivory ground, the whole further embellished in turquoise and gilt enamels, green mark, date code for 1899, h.27cm. In first class condition, no apparent faults.Minor gilt wear to top of vase rim only where cover sits.
A pair of first period Belleek porcelain fish spill vases, each modelled as vertically posed flying fish on scroll waves, on naturalistic bases, first period black mark printed verso, circa 1863/90, h.18cm. Condition report: Both fins to one vase with fine hairlines near bases.
