A 19th century Chinese blue and white club shaped vase, allover decorated with foliage. Height 46 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There are several glaze nibbles to the top lip of the vase. There is also a hairline crack running from the top lip into the vase for approximately 6 cm. This is visible on both sides of the vase. Other than this there is no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
A Japanese bronze club shaped vase, decorated with an insect in relief and with character mark signature to base. Height 28 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is in very good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are some minor surface marks and scratches as one would expect from something of this age but no real condition issues to worry about.
A 19th century Chinese blue and white vase, decorated with birds on branches and with narrow neck. Height 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Chip to outside edge of top lip approximately 1 cm x 7 mm. Hairline crack running from this for approximately 2 cm. Other than this the vase is in very good condition with no further problems.
A Shelley coffee service, Shelley part tea service, Doulton vase, Shelley Melody patterned preserve dish and Carltonware toast rack. CONDITION REPORT: The toast rack is in good order. The Shelley lidded preserve pot is in generally good order with only very minor rubbing to the paintwork on the top rim of the base. The large Doulton vase is in good order with no damage, repairs or restoration. The six Shelley cups and saucers are in good order with no significant issues. All pieces in the Shelley tea set are in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
A 19th century Chinese export blue and white vase, decorated with fo dogs and with relief moulded handles. Height 35 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Very good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The glaze is a little thin on the top rim and there are some small glaze bubbles but no problems of any significance.
Four 19th century blue and white Chinese vases, and a bowl and small Satsuma vase. Tallest 23 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The small Satsuma vase has a chip to the top lip and the gilding is rubbed in places. The small bowl has a hairline crack running from the top lip down to the base of the piece. There are no other issues. The smallest of the 4 vases is in generally good condition with only one very small hairline crack running over the top of the lip into the body for approximately 4 mm. The vase with lid has some issues. The dog terminal has been broken and re-glued. There is a large chip to the underside edge of the lip and a small loss. The base of the vase has a hairline crack running form the top lip down into the body of the vase for approximately 3 cm. There are no further issues with the base. The large vase has nibbles to the glaze all around the top rim. The vase is also very dirty but there are no hairline cracks, repairs or restoration. There are however some chips and nibbles all around the base of the foot rim. The final vase has no damage, no repairs and no restoration it is simply very dirty
A Victorian floral encrusted vase, together with a Derby figural candlestick. Tallest 24.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a chip and professional restoration to the brim of the hat. There is overpainting. The neck has been repaired. There is overpainting and a visible crack to the neck, exposed neck and bust area. The candle sconce has been repaired, restored and overpainted as have some of the tips to the points beneath the sconce. There are chips where the sconce joins the bocage. There are numerous small chips to the floral encrustations as well as restoration to seven of the pink flower heads. There are small chips to the items in the figure's shawl. There is restoration to the left hand lapel. There is overpainting to the rear of the base of the figure beneath the skirt but we are not sure what this is covering. There are firing marks to the base.
A pair of Chinese blue and white vases, printed with figures, buildings and mountains and each with character marks to side. Height 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The second vase has a chip to the top lip and two small hairline cracks of approximately 1 cm in length. Other than this the second vase is in good order.
A 19th century Chinese Celadon and blue and white vase, decorated with figures, trees and birds in slight relief. Height 60 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The top lip has an inside edge chip. Both handles have been broken and repaired. The front of the vase is in generally good condition. There is however a substantial hairline crack running across the back of the vase right down to the foot.
A 19th century Dutch painted corner cabinet, decorated with a still life, vase of flowers. Width 51 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cupboard is in generally good order. There is no structural damage, no evidence of any woodworm and no repairs or restoration. The door shuts as it should. We have the key for the lock. There are some minor stress fractures in the timber but no significant issues. The cupboard could be used in its current state without the need for any repairs or restoration.
A pair of 19th century Chinese relief moulded vases, each with lid, decorated with animals and foliage. Height 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both vases have problems. Vase 1 has had professional restoration to the rim of the lid. The base of the vase has a hairline crack running from the top lip down into the body of the vase for approximately 7 cm. At the same point there is a horizontal hairline crack on the inside edge of the top lip. Other than this the vase is in generally good order. The second vase lid appears to be in good order although there is some rubbing to the gilding and a glaze imperfection to the outside edge. The base of the vase has been damaged and repaired. There is a V shaped section of the vase that has been broken which is approximately 6 cm in length. This has been re-glued and the hairline crack is visible. The remainder of the vase is in good condition.

CONDITION REPORT: There is one small glaze imperfection to the top lip which is slightly rough to touch. Other than this the vase is in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
A 19th century Chinese Cantonese porringer pot with cover. Height 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both the base and lid are in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some rubbing to the gilding on the knop to the lid and also a little on the main body of the vase.
A pair of 18th century Meissen Marcolini vases and covers, height 30 cm, and one volume "A Book of Porcelain in The Victoria & Albert Museum" depicting a similar vase (pages 20 and 63) (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both vases have some damage. One vase has had a break to one handle which has old metal riveted repairs which have been overpainted in cream. There is a break at the bottom of the handle and also at the top above the join with the vase body. There are some losses to the porcelain in these areas. The remainder of the vase base is in good order. The metal rod which attached the vase to the base is later. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding. The lid has had restoration to the green ribbons. The circular loop has been broken off and reattached. There is rubbing to the gilding but no further damage to the lid. Vase 2 also has a broken handle. The handle has been broken into 4 pieces and glue marks are evident at the break points. There do not appear to be any substantial losses to the porcelain. The vase body is in good order. The base is a little loose but the fitting appears to be original. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding but no further damage to the base. The vase lid is in less good condition than the other. The lid has clearly been quite extensively broken and there is restoration to the loop, the green ribbon and also to points around the pierced section of the lid where crude over painting is visible. The lid has clearly been broken into several pieces. Each vase has blue script A R initials to the underside of the base.
