A CHINESE PORCELAIN AND FRENCH GILT METAL MOUNTED CLOCK GARNITURETHIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURYThe clock set in a Canton famille-rose vase with basket of flower finial and dragon handles on a pierced base, the side vases mounted with neck and bases, movement stamped LM ParisThe clock 64cm high, the vases 37.5cm high (3)Condition Report: All three vases have been drilled for mounts or possibly once for electrical fittings no longer present. Wear to gilding of porcelain mask handles - there is further wear to the gilding to the metal throughout. The Garniture vases possibly once meant to have metal covers. Vases would have been bought in by the retailer and adapted accordingly. Clock movement seems mostly there but lacks a key and more significantly a pendulum. Will no doubt benefit from the attentions of a clock repairer.
