Alan Caiger-Smith (1930) - THREE SMALL VASES: one wood-fired with iron decoration, the other two examples in lustre (3) ACS: The chestnut colour in the first vase is a lovely example of an iron pigment fired with intermittent reduction in the wood kiln. This is seldom, if ever, found in traditional tin-glaze wares.
