Good Dutch walnut eight day longcase clock with various complications, the 14" rounded arched dial signed Jan Henkels on the wide silvered chapter ring under six o'clock, enclosing a gilded and foliate engraved centre with calendar work and moon phase apertures, also with a subsidiary seconds dial, over a recessed automata featuring windmills, sailing boats and figures fishing before rural painted scenes, the movement striking the hours on one bell, the first quarter past with one stroke on the same bell, the full hour at half past on another bell, also the quarter to the hour on the same bell, the calendar work is automatic for a thirty-one day month needing to be corrected for other months by pushing round the date ring, the large windmill only operates whilst the clock is striking, the case with foliate carved beaded waisted door, fitted with an oval bronze overlaid figural cast lenticle and also inlaid with a vase of flowers and a reserve of musical instruments, the bombé base with a central foliate inlaid reserve enclosed by boxwood lines and the hood surmounted by a wavy moulded foliate carved cornice and caddy top with blind foliate fret carved frieze, 93" high (pendulum, two weights and winding key)

A Chinese carved hardwood continuous yoke back arm chair Qing Dynasty, probably 19th century, with solid, S-shaped splat carved with a vase of prunus blossom and a tripod censer, over a panelled solid seat and shaped arms, raised on square section supports united by a shaped apron delicately carved with ruyi heads and low peripheral stretchers, the top rail and arm joints with inlaid brass straps to strengthen the joints, 23¼in. (59cm.) wide, 41½in. (105.5cm.) high.* A pair of huanghuali chairs of similar design, with inlaid brass straps, were sold at Nagel Auktionen, Stuttgart on 8th December 2020, Lot 11.
A fine collection of Chinese silver and silver gilt kingfisher feather hairpins, jewellery and hair ornaments Qing Dynasty, the stylised floral and foliate designs variously depicting blossoming flowers, lotus blooms, birds' wings, a fish, a phoenix, butterflies and a vase of flowers, some accented with glass, hardstones and simulated pearls, the phoenix with spring mounted stones, the largest 17cm. long, some losses and faults. (29)* Condition: Some losses to feather decoration and stone/glass mounts throughout. The metal bent on some of the pieces. One of the springs is partially detached on the phoenix ornament.
A Chinese silver miniature vase the globular vase with twin branch style handles to the neck and short circular foot, , decorated with prunus on a matted, cracked ice ground, stamped 'HM90' to base, 8cm. high; together with a similarly decorated lidded mustard pot, of tankard form with blue glass liner, by Wang Hing of Hong Kong, stamped 'WH 90' mark, 4.7cm. high, silver weight 3.69 tr.oz. (2)* Condition: Both in good condition, with no faults.
