A FRENCH SHAGREEN CASED ETUI AND A PAIR OF FRENCH PORCELAIN SCENT BOTTLES IN CASE (2)Late 18th/19th Century The etui in tapering rectangular case, comprising two cut glass scent bottles, a mirror, a pair of tweezers and two other items, 7cm high; Together with a pair of urn or vase shaped French soft paste porcelain scent bottles, circa 1770, with unmarked gold mounts and stoppers, within a baluster green shagreen case, 8cm highCondition report: The first box missing four implements. One implement looks to be missing a part. Mirror glass with losses to the silvering around the edges. General tarnishing. The case with some ware and losses to the shagreen along the edges and extremities. The scent bottles both with chips to the upper rim, one a little larger - see image. Further dirt and very small nick to the shoulder of the lobbed decoration of one. The gold stoppers are loose and one with a small loss at the edge. The case in good condition with inevitable scuffs, scratches and marks commensurate with wear, use and age particularly to the bottom edge and back. A lacquer has been applied at some stage. Some residue of the red velvet has rubbed on to the waisted foot.

A 19th century Giardinetti brooch, the vase and flower designed brooch set with rose and mixed cut diamonds with ruby set highlights to the top, later set with aquamarine and peridot with yellow metal rub over setting edge, hinge pin to reverse, 3.5cm long, aquamarine weight estimated 0.80ct, peridot weight estimated 3.80ct Condition report: Rose cut diamond missing on left side of brooch. Bottom two rubies don't fit within the rub over setting, possible later additions. Possible repair of hinge pin mechanism to reverse. Lead repair above hinge pinGeneral tarnishing seen to brooch, would benefit from a clean. General scuffs, blemishes and scratches commensurate with age and wear. Visible lead to reverse of peridot mount. Repaired split to top of aquamarine mount. Both aquamarine and peridot are rubbed to facets and show inclusions.
A large Chinese porcelain famille verte bottle vase, 19th century, externally decorated with phoenixes and stylised peony sprays, against a green ground, the shoulder of the vase decorated with four shaped vignettes enclosing precious objects, against a geometric border, double concentric blue circle mark to the underside, 42cm high (at fault), raised on a hardwood standCondition Report - Dirtied chip to the neck rim. Rim descending hairline crack. Pitted interior. Smaller visible but faint stained hairlines surrounding the rim and foot rim. Firing crack to the foot rim. Small loss to the foot rim. Crazing to the underside can be seen including a spiral example where the glaze has pooled over the surface of it. Some pitting, staining, and surface scratching can be seen to the exterior.

Pair of vases- vase 1 with chip to foot rim. Crazed throughout. Start crack to side. Vase 2 - finial broken off. Chips to underside of cover. Re-glued chip to top rim. Stained crazing throughout. Pitted and fritted. Chip to base rim. Chache pot- Crudely potted and decorated throughout. Hairline crack to one cricket cage (lacking cover). Chip to rim of one teacup. Saucers each with multiple hairline cracks. Gilt wear to coffee cup. Hairline crack to a further teacup. One saucer with large re-glued section. Plate 1- filed chip to rim. Plate 2 - Extensively rivet repaired. Further wear, chips, cracks and repairs can be seen throughout.

One vase has a stained rim descending hairline measuring approximately 7cm, with a smaller under glaze firing crack. One vase has a firing frit to the rim of the base. Dirtied chip to the underside of rim visible. Each foot rim gritty and stained with chips and losses. Decoration appears good however there are signs of wear and surface scratching. Firing cracks and pitting visible to the interior of the vases.
