A late 19th/early 20th century silver overlay elongated baluster-shaped ceramic vase with Ruskin-style glazes, the florid overlay in high Art Nouveau style (14.5cm)Condition Report: Condition is generally good overall, no hallmarks are prevalent. The neck appears a little 'abrasive' to the touch - the glaze has bubbled a little in the firing process and under a loupe there is crazing to be seen on the surface but no crack, damage or restoration has been noted. There is an impressed no '29' to the underside.

The largest beads are 24mm x 12mm , 23mm x 9mm.

Condition Report: Gilding rubbed to neck rim large vase, surface glaze crazing to all three vases, a 2.5cm glaze scratch on inner neck large vase, discolouration to glaze commensurate with age and use.

A good and interesting selection of Roman glassware to include tall vases (mostly with iridescence), a cylindrical pot with old label to underside, a square jar with handle, various vials and flasks (tallest glass vase with slender thin neck 24.5cm high) (some damage and condition commensurate with age and immersion in earth), circa 200-300 AD (15 items) Provenance: acquired 1960s and prior by the present Vendor's ParentsCondition Report: There are five taller bottles - four appear in good general condition, the tallest has chips around the lip at the top, also a crack around the bottom. There are two small circular pots, one cauldron-like which is in good order, the other clearly has the glass away and a crack to the top. A square flask has damage to the bottom, other wise OK. Seven smaller bottles - 1st a small globe and shaft-style appears in reasonable order, the 2nd has a problem with the lip at the top, 3rd has a small matchhead-sized piece away from the lip at the top, 4th has problems around the neck area, 5th has a chip in the neck area (smaller example), 6th and 7th seem OK.
