Lot 691

A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain vase of squat baluster form with raised rim, painted in underglaze blue with two dragons amongst clouds chasing the pearl of wisdom, bearing six character mark to base within double circle, height 9.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are areas of dirt to base (traces of old sticker) and some dirt to inside of neck. Tiny chip to rim of base, and some firing imperfections.

Lot 693

A late 19th century Chinese baluster vase with flared rim painted in underglaze blue with architectural and figural landscape, bearing four character Kangxi mark to the base, height 25cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The rim has got sever damage - it has been broken in several pieces and crudely re-glued with some losses along edges of the cracks.

Lot 700

A near pair of 18th century Chinese cloisonné enamel decorated trilobed double gourd vases, overall decorated with various flower heads on blue ground and with scroll decorated bands of lucky bats to upper section, with three Greek key decorated spouts, each with tied ribbon bow around the waist, one in purple, the other in yellow, with further ornamental band to lower part, each bearing a Qianlong four character mark to base within double line square border, height 37.5cm and 38.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both vases are in very good condition with only some traces of wear and tarnish to the spouts and bases. Vase with purple ribbon has a slightly misshapen area to the outside rim of the base, there are two tiny splits to the inside rim along the base, and it is slightly out of centre. Both have some firing/air bubble imperfections throughout and enamelling imperfections to the knots of the ribbons. Some surface dirt.

Lot 718

Two pieces of The Hatcher Cargo Chinese porcelain pieces; a small slender baluster vase/snuff bottle, painted in underglaze blue with floral motifs, height 12cm and a cup decorated with chasing dragon amongst clouds, diameter 5cm, both with Hatcher Collection Christies June 1984 sale sticker to base (2). CONDITION REPORT: The cup has a nibble to the top rim and some small chips which may be manufacturing imperfections to the base, with another small chip. Vase appears to be in good condition but with a tiny chip to rim and with rubbing to the glaze below the top rim.

CONDITION REPORT: Fritting to rim and chips. Second vase rim is very damaged. Light fritting to small bowl. Flower brick restoration. Surface scratches.

A late 19th century Chinese Canton porcelain vase of baluster form with twin gilt handles painted with four panels depicting figural interior scenes and birds amongst blossoming branches, height 21cm (restored), a bottle vase painted in underglaze blue with architectural landscape, with clobbered enamel decoration (af), a pair of 18th century Famille Rose dishes, diameter 13.5cm, also a Japanese transfer decorated bottle vase (5). CONDITION REPORT: The Canton vase has a restored rim. Pair of dishes both have tiny nibbles to the rim and one has a hairline spreading from it. Clobbered vase has staple restoration to the main body and has an imperfection to the rim.
