CHINESE POWDER BLUE GROUND PORCELAIN ROULEAU VASE, six-character Kangxi mark but 19th/20th Century, painted with two large reserves depicting Xiwangmu with flower basket and hoe, riding a deer beside an attendant holding a large peach of immortality, beneath a gnarled pine tree, four other smaller fan-shaped and pomegranate-shaped reserves painted with fish and with flowering iris respectively, base with apocryphal reign mark within a double circle, 43cms high Provenance: Cardiff based merchant seaman, thence by descent to the present owner. Auctioneer's Note: compare with a smaller powder blue rouleau vase sold at Rogers Jones & Co, Cardiff, lot 162, 26 March 2021 with similar shaped panels Condition: no apparent damage
