Richly colored grouping featuring a covered dish with swirl pattern (4.75"H x 6" dia.), a hat-shaped vase with geometric pattern (3.5"L x 3.25"W x 3.25"H), a small milk glass and amber pitcher (3.5"L x 3.25"W x 4.25"H), a larger milk glass and amber pitcher (5.25"W x 6.25"H), and a tall translucent bud vase (3"L x 2"W x 7"H). New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1070 BC. A fragment from a funerary vase or sistrum handle, with three panels of hieroglyphic text In black. The New Kingdom brought about another change in manufacture. This period was the high point of faience making, and a large quantity of vases, beads, jewellery, amulets and scarabs were manufactured. New Kingdom, Reign of Akhenaton, Ca. 1352 - 1336 BC.A pottery jar with a tall flaring neck and biconical body, with thee distinct registers divided by multi-coloured bands. Each register has repeating floral motifs, including rosette petals and sycamore trees surrounding a motif of an eye, with black outlines. Underneath, three inscribed nefer hieroglph and four Was-scepters. This vase is similar to artistic depictions of the same motifs from the Amarna-period tomb-chapel of Nebamun which depicts the wealthy official and his wife in the marshes along the banks of the Nile with naturalistic fauna and flora. This vase is similar to artistic depictions of the same motifs from the Amarna-period tomb-chapel of Nebamun which depicts the wealthy official and his wife in the marshes along the banks of the Nile with naturalistic fauna and flora.
