A Barr, Flight and Barr (Worcester) porcelain vase and cover on tripod standcirca 1810painted with a named view of Amberley Castle, Sussex, reserved against a peach and gilt ground, supported on satyr mask columns above a faux marble base, full painted marks to base together with impressed BFP mark, 22.5cm high (flame finial to cover restored)Notes: This vase is illustrated in Sandon, Henry 'Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain, 1783-1840' (Suffolk, Baron Publishing, 1978) p.79.Cover - finial restored. Small underside chip.Vase - small nibble to one edge of the base, another edge on the base has a line of gilding loss. There is a white residue, possibly paint, just above two of the upper band of jewelling but they do not appear to be restored. Three jewels on the lower band have splashes of accidental gilding. There is one small section of probable gilding retouching around the edge of the Greek Key section, which is darker in colour and matches the finial. There is also a dark green modern gemstone stuck to the interior which won't come out
Bernard Moore (1850 - 1935)A red flambe vase decorated with two galleons in full sail and a sunset, painted marks, decorator's monogram JHC, 19cm highA West Midlands estate's attic clearance.The vase is in need of a good clean. There are small white specks to the exterior along with some dark brown residue to the interior, both of which look to come off after coaxing. However, one side of the vase (the sky and birds) has numerous scratches through the glaze, with smaller scratches elsewhere. There are some very minor nibbles around the foot rim. No further damages or any restoration.
Three Grainger & Co (Worcester) reticulated blush ivory vaseslate 19th centurycomprising a garlic head bottle vase and cover, pattern 1561, 28.5cm high; an ovoid vase, with jewelled turquoise centres to the flowers, shape G/589, pattern 3192, 19.2cm high and a further smaller plain vase, printed factory marks, 10.5cm high(3) 1561Garlic head vase has a repaired cover, several areas of gilding loss and a small chip to one of the reticulated flower petals. No further damages or repairs.
