Japanese Satsuma lidded vase, with phoenix finial finely painted with figures in landscapes within richly decorated grounds, which contain netted fish and insects, no marks to base, Meiji period, 13.5cm high. Condition report: Restoration to the neck and wings of the phoenix as well as the lid generally. The base has no restoration but does have small foot faults. Overall fine crazing.

Condition report: One vase has a crack to the body, chipped rim and glaze chips to the foot and one dog head. The other vase has chips to the dog tails, and to the underside of the rim.

Condition report: One vase has a section of the rim restuck with some associated losses. The other vase is free from damages. Both vases have some enamel flaking mainly to the pale blue.
