Pair of 19th Century Italian majolica baluster shaped vases, each painted with religious scenes, entwined serpent handles and standing on a circular foot, 39.5cm high inclusive of handles Condition: One vase has losses where a serpent head and a section of body is missing from the top rim approx 5cm in length, the relatively crude method of construction of these vases means at first glance one would expect there to be multiple restoration of the handle but the crude join where the top of the handle meets the vase and the similarly crude join at the base above the mask head do not actually appear to show signs of restoration, we would recommend any potential purchasers viewing this lot in person to satisfy themselves, there are some very minor glaze losses to the foot rims - **General condition consistent with age
