Each candlestick has a certain amount of rattle to the weighted bases each with velvet covers, some rubbing and thinning of the stiff leafage on the ribbon tied candle holders.

An Egyptian Revival silver dessert stand on tricorn base with tongue and dart border, to the centre a plinth supported on four lion's paw feet with palmette and scroll apron, the stem cast as a Greek vase guarded by three winged sphinxes, the beaded border hung with chains, the base stamped 'ELKINGTON & CO.', 40ozs., height 24cm, together with a cut glass bowl.
