Lot 1

Three Chinese blue and white ginger jars, a spill vase, pierced vase and dragon plate. Tallest 20 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This lot has a number of blue and white wears in it of which a number are in very poor condition. The vase has been broken in many places and there are numerous cracks that have been repaired, this is not a good repair and is very visible. The ginger jar has no lid and has small chips to the rim, pitting to the glaze and wear and dirt to the rim of the base. The two small ginger jars also have visible repairs. The plate has been broken into many pieces and has numerous cracks to the base. The hexagonal vase is also very much in a used condition. Overall the condition is not good.

Lot 171

A 19th century copper lustre jug, printed with Hope, together with a small carved marble dog seated on a cushion and a ware bust of William Shakespeare. Tallest 24 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bust has visible cracks to both sides of the neck. There is a large 1 cm wide chip to the vase and a crack to the vase. The jug has cracks to the spout and a chip to the base of the handle. There are scuff marks to the marble dog.

Lot 197

A large pair of 19th century porcelain and bisque porcelain vases, with painted panels to blue ground, with blue lozenge mark to underside. Height 50 cm, diameter of top 17 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The first vase has clear areas of restoration to the base of the upper storey vase where it meets the base, these are clearly visible and the blue porcelain is discoloured in that area. Overall there are also significant areas of wear to the gilt and the handpainted decoration in places. There is also a sizeable chip to the rim of the vase, this is +/- 5 mm in diameter. Overall the structure is otherwise reasonably sound with no clear cracks or hairline cracks. The second vase has some chips to the rim of the base of the vase and also wear to the decoration in a number of places. Neither are in mint condition and both have some small chips to the rims of the vase otherwise the structure displays no large cracks or hairline cracks. There is also much ingrained dirt to the putti that sits around the base as well as other areas of the vase leading to some discolouration to the blue ground colour over time.

A Chinese double ring blue and white vase, the sides painted in underglaze blue with panels of figures and flowers. Height 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase is structurally sound. There are no breaks, cracks, hairline cracks or losses visible. Some areas of wear and discolouration to the rim of the base.

Lot 45

A pair of Chinese blue white and gilt vases, a single lidded vase, spill vase and bowl. Tallest 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: All items in this lot have much wear to the gilt decoration throughout. The large bowl has had one large area of restoration, this has been poorly done and is very visible from both sides of the vase and this area stretches at least 5 cm x 6 cm. The lidded vase has two large 1 cm chips to the lid which are very much visible and there are also losses to the pair of vases. The spill style vase is intact.

Lot 50

A Chinese crackleware gourd shaped vase of small form, together with a Cantonese tea bowl, cup and small teapot. Tallest 10.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Within this lot there is damage to the teapot, there is a small break to the top of the spout, there are also small chips and losses to the bases of the tea cups in some areas and one of the small tea bowls has a significant chip to the rim of the base. Otherwise these are in used condition with ingrained dirt and rubbed decoration

Lot 6

A large Japanese floor standing vase, mottled and decorated with bamboo. Height 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This standing floor vase is structurally sound, there are no cracks, hairline cracks or any other damage visible. There is some wear to the glaze in places and also ingrained dirt to the base along with scratches through use, but otherwise structurally sound.

A large Japanese Meiji period Satsuma vase, decorated with figures and heightened with gilding, seal mark to base. Height 40 cm excluding stand (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This Satsuma vase is structurally sound with no visible cracks or hairline cracks. There are no visible losses or chips, some wear to the decoration.

A late Victorian glass vase and cover, decorated with birds. Height 44 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The glass is structurally sound. There is a large chip to the cover which is 0.5 cm in width. Other very small chips to the rim along with dirt and other signs of use. Overall there are no other losses or damage to the glass items. There is plenty of wear to the decoration as to be expected with handpainted decoration over time. Also much wear to the gilt.

Doulton "Priscilla" figure very damaged and repaired to the head, bonnet and neck and base. "Bathing Belle" figure appears to be in good condition. Charlotte Rhead jug appears in good condition. Overlaid ruby glass vases - one appears in basically good condition though with some wear and tear conducive with age and use, particularly to the gilding. The second has repaired damage to the neck. Miniature teapot appears to be in good condition though arguably in need of a clean. Crown Derby coffee can handle very broken. Three miniature pieces of Doulton harvestware: metalwork dented and very oxidised, pottery itself appears to be in good condition. Doulton gilt miniature vase basically appears in good condition. Two handled bowl with hairline crack to rim and also to base. Blue and white cherub decorated mirror with some damage, one cherub with wing missing and firing faults elsewhere, the gold foot at base bent, the easel support damaged and repaired, mirror with silvering gone in several areas and spotting elsewhere, gilding very worn. The Wedgwood plated mounted pot with oxidisation to the plating. The pot with large star crack to base, arguably in need of a good clean - see images for further detail. Please note : pair of Doulton Burslem blushware ewers are now withdrawn from this lot so therefore not available

There is some roughness / losses to the bottom edge and to the top edge which appear to have been done during firing / manufacturing. There is a white mark to the main body of the vase - appears to be paint like in substance, with a possible scratch within in. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Otherwise basically sound, though with some firing cracks and gilding worn.Satsuma vases - one basically sound though with some wear to the gilding. Large chip to foot and various small hairline cracks. Vase two with large area of damage and repair to the neck/rim. Hairline cracks to base and wear to gilding throughout
