An early 19th Century mahogany sofa table, the rounded rectangular drop-leaf top cross banded and satinwood, strung over two bowed drawers opposite two further drawers, with shield shaped escutcheons, raised on turned, ringed and reeded, vase-shaped twin-pillar supports to a platform with rope twist edging on hipped acanthus carved and reeded square tapered legs, to brass lions paw caps and castors, 161 cm wide max x 72.3 cm CONDITION REPORTS Top is slightly bowed with some damage to the veneer inlay and missing and chipped with small losses in sections. all over various scratches, impressed marks, chips to the edges, cracks to the veneers on the sides and drawer fronts all over. some damage to one of the handles resulting in a loss. Legs with various scratches, scuffs and small chips etc throughout. All over general signs of wear and tear
A George III silver urn-shaped vase, raised on pedestal base to circular foot, inscribed "D. D Hen, Colborne, Ridley, 1824" (bears maker's mark "W.E" within a rectangular punch, London, 1819), approx 17.7 oz, 19 cm high (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire)
A pair Sèvres "Bleu Royale" ground vases of inverted pear form with foliate decorated rim and handles, raised on a circular foot to square plinth base, the whole with gilt and enamel jewelled decoration, (bear blue crossed "L's" mark with date letters "II" for 1786 flanked by "H P"), 28.5 cm high (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Both have wear and looses to the guilding and "jewel work". One has a significant repair to the base.=, the other has black paint marks to the handles. Both have some firing faults, one in particular has a crack at the top near the handle. Both are loose on their bases, bolts etc need tightening. Gilding is worn on both. Both have general wear and tear, surface scratches etc. See images for further details. Vase One - gilding worn around top opening, some areas of jewelling missing, including turquoise beads to band x 5. Various small areas of jewelling and gilding missing. Turquoise colour beading to centre band missing x 6. Turquoise beading to foot missing x 3. Large repaired chip to socle top approx 2.1 cm x .6 cm. Various wearing to the gilding throughout. Vase Two - with wear to the gilding around vase opening. Firing crack to one side approx 2 cm jagged vertically. Much smaller firing crack to the other side of the same leaf approx .15 cm. Turquoise beads around shoulder missing x 7. Areas of jewelling and gilding worn and/or missing to the main band. Turquoise beads to centre band complete though with some small areas of damage or loss. Socle and plinth basically sound though with wear to the small areas of damage or loss. Socle and plinth basically sound though with wear to the gilding. Turquoise beads missing to socle x 13. Some other areas of jewelling missing.
CONTINENTAL SCHOOL IN THE MANNER OF PIETER CASTEELS (1684-1749) "Flowers in a vase on a ledge", still life study, oil on canvas, unsigned, 76.5 cm x 64 cm CONDITION REPORTS Flaked paint to the top and throughout to some extent. some sort of damage down the left hand side and the right hand side - see images of both. white paint splattered marks throughout. Some scratches etc throughout, in need of care and attention. Frame with missing moulded sections, chips, cracks, losses etc. Various signs of wear and tear throughout. Under UV light, the majority of the painting has a milky complexion with dark marks to the left hand corner, down the left hand side, some to the bottom and up the right hand side and a few amongst the foliage, mainly appears to the leaves indicating restoration work - attempting an image of this. An Art Deco gem-set giardinetto brooch, centred with a carved citrine vase with a marquise-shaped diamond set flowerhead. To the sides, carved blue stone and carnelian flowerheads, each centred with a small diamond and with carved dyed chalcedony leaves. The rectangular frame set with circular cut diamonds. 4.2cm wide.
