A pair of Cantonese famille rose porcelain vases, with flared rims decorated with reserves of flowers and birds. Each 15 cm high (2). CONDITION REPORT: Both vases are structurally sound. One does have a visible hairline crack to its rim, this runs for at least 1 cm and is visible from the top of the vase. Overall there is no significant loss or damage to either of them. There is plenty of dirt and wear to the decoration as well as minor chips to the base through use. Areas of pitting and faults to the glaze visible.
A collection of Eastern School 20th century Iznik style earthenwares, to include a large bowl, six smaller bowls, vase and three plates. CONDITION REPORT: These earthenware items are in mixed condition. The larger bowl has one significant chip to the rim +/- 0.5 cm in length. Other smaller imperfections to the glaze and chips are apparent. OF the three plates, one has a significant 1.5 cm long chip to the upper side of the rim, this is clearly visible. There are other small losses of glaze in places. The six bowls are all structurally intact but again with the odd loss of glaze to the rims and signs of use. This whole lot is in used condition.
A collection of glassware, comprising a Murano faceted Sommerso vase, 21 cm high, a millefiori glass vase, 21 cm high and a pair of glass vases, each 25 cm high (4). CONDITION REPORT: All four glass vases are in sound condition with no visible damage. There are occasional scratches to the bases in line with age. This is particularly apparent on the blue and green faceted vase.
A Della Robbia vase with incised decoration, painted by Liz Wilkinson, signed and inscribed to base, painted with overall floral decoration. 23 cm high. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This vase is structurally sound with no visible losses, cracks or hairline cracks. There are some imperfections to the glaze and areas of slight rubbing to the more raised areas of the vase. The rim of the base has one or two very small chips. Overall in sound condition.
A Cantonese famille rose lidded vase of baluster shape, with painted panels depicting Chinese figures. 42 cm high, together with a Cantonese cylinder vase. 26 cm high (2). CONDITION REPORT: The vase of cylinder form has a visible and significant crack running from top to bottom. This is seen on both the interior and the exterior of the vase. Overall there are small chips to the top of the vase and also to the base. There is ingrained dirt and some rubbing to the decoration. The lidded vase has a profound and significant crack to the centre of its body running for at least 10 cm. This is in curved form. The structure of this vase is therefore compromised. There are also other areas of wear with chips to the upper rim and base. Overall dirt and some wear to the decoration.
An Oriental lidded vase. Height 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase is structurally in sound condition. No visible cracks, damage or losses. Occasional wear and one long running chip to the top rim of the vase +/- 2 cm in length. Other small chips evident both to the top rim and base. Overall some wear to the decoration and some dirt.
A collection of cloisonne items, from late 19th and early 20th century to include a jar and cover, four vases, a matchbox cover, small vase with hardwood base, dish and five napkin holders (quantity). CONDITION REPORT: This large lot of cloisonne contains many items, all in used and mixed condition. The pair of spill vases both have significant structural damage, there are losses to the larger ginger jar and cover and this element of use is evident throughout the entire lot. This lot is sold in used condition.
