A matched pair of George III table candlesticks, the circular bases with reeded borders and batswing fluting, continuing through the bulbous stems and vase-shaped sconces, removable nozzles, one stick and sconce with hallmarks for Sheffield 1793, the other with maker`s mark of John Green, Roberts, Mosley & Co., Sheffield 1801, height 30 cm (11 3/4 in.)
A ROYAL DOULTON SLATERS PATENT STONEWARE VASE with incised and painted foliate decoration, finished in mottled dark greens and greys, turquoise and gold, the base with impressed marks, 19cm high; together with a Royal Doulton stoneware jardiniere, in the form of a cauldron, the three angular handles and tripod feet (one restored), the sprigged and stamped decoration finished in brown, blues and gold, with internal impressed marks, 14cm high, (2).
A DOULTON LAMBETH STONEWARE VASE with sprigged, stamped and painted floral and foliate decoration, finished in buff, dark blue, brown, dark green, turquoise, white and gold, the base with impressed marks, 16.5cm high; a Royal Doulton stoneware cache pot, with sprigged flower-head decoration to the rim, finished in brown, grey-green and blue glazes, the base with impressed marks, 9cm high; and a Royal Doulton stoneware jug, with stamped and painted floral and foliate decoration, finished in dark blue, buff, turquoise, white and gold, the base with impressed marks, 8cm high, (3).
A Chinese porcelain vase, painted with a large vignette of figures washing and drying rice by a pavilion in a landscape, opposed by figures being served food in a pavilion, against a mottled blue ground, with pierced wooden cover, four character mark, and on a hardwood stand. Excluding stand 36cm
Hispano Moresque charger and two vases painted with copper lustre patterns, the vases each bear monograms, 19th / early 20th century, (3) the charger measures 40cm diameter Condition report: One vase has chips to the foot, the other vase has minor glaze nicks to the foot. The charger has two rim chips, there are other minor glaze nicks and wear to the glaze on the suspension holes. There is some wear to the lustre on all pieces.
Doulton Lambeth vase monogrammed George Tinworth with scrolling leaf body applied with floral bosses, inscribed monogram to side and impressed marks to base, 23.5cm high Condition report: No damage or restoration. There is very minor wear to the points of the jewelling and a small patch to the foot where the glaze has not taken properly.
Doulton Lambeth vase by Hannah Barlow decorated with cows in sgraffito between a band of leaves and floral bosses, impressed and incised mark, the factory stamp has a line cut through the centre, 27cm high Condition report: No damage or restoration. There are firing cracks to the underside of the foot where the base joins to the body at the stem.
Royal Lancastrian Pilkington vase by William S Mycock dated 1927 painted with scrolling leaves on a blue ribbed ground, painted and impressed marks to base, 11.5cm high Condition report: No damage or restoration. Overall feint crazing and minor wear to the pattern. There is one burst glaze bubble to the foot rim as well as a small glaze scratch.
Minton lidded vase, circa 1880 with two handles decorated with birds perched on branches in raised paste gilt and enamel, impressed marks to base, with modern oriental wood stand, (3) the vase measures 14cm high without the stand. Condition report: Minor wear to the gilding but nothing defacing. There is one paste flake to the centre of one leaf. No other damage, restoration or crazing.
Additional image added! Moorcroft Florian ware vase with twin handles decorated with a peacock feather floral design on green grounds, 25.5cm high Condition report: Overall fine crazing, a burst glaze bubble (see additional image which has been added), but no damage or restoration.
Moorcroft design trial vase decorated with Provence pattern after Philip Gibson dated 31/05/05, signature, painted and impressed marks to base, with box, 21cm high Bought from the Moorcroft shop understood to be the only vase produced in this pattern. Condition report: No damage, restoration, crazing, seconds marks or removed silver lines. There is a tiny moulding imperfection to the underside of the footrim from factory production.
Moorcroft Collectors Club vase decorated with Spring Pearl pattern after Philip Gibson, on an unusual two tone dark blue and cream background, painted M.C.C. 2005 and impressed marks to base, with box, 19cm high (This is one of three examples and bought at a Collectors` Club Auction) Condition report: No damage, restoration, crazing, seconds marks or removed silver lines.
