Two Denby ware pottery vases decorated in relief with penguins and flamingos, largest 26cm high Taller vase designed by Donald Gilbert (printed mark); shoulder rubbed; not damaged. Smaller vase probably also by Gilbert with perhaps an impressed monogram beneath one of the stork’s feet. Structurally good.
A Chinese crackle glazed dish together with a ge ware archaic style vase, largest 15cm diameter Dish has heavy crazing throughout as expected and photographed. It also has several minor flaws in the manufacture including areas of pitting and a large ‘burst bubble’ to the exterior of the body. Vase has been broken into pieces and messily reglued with pieces still missing.
A pair of Japanese Satsuma vases, by Taizan and four others including a lidded jar and a basket vase stamped Noritake, tallest 25cm One Taizan vase neckrim glue-repaired and also chipped; shoulder with long, horizontal scratch around shoulder, almost half-circumference. The other Taizan vase neckrim similarly glue-repaired in sections; painted marks as shown, not impressed; 25cm high; 15cm maximum width. Other items structurally good; the basket vase with wear to gilding.
A pair of early 20th century Chinese blue and white sleeve vases and two others, one cover, tallest 21cm One sleeve vase two chips to neckrim, largest approx. 8 x 5mm; other sleeve vase good. Taller of the two baluster jars badly-cracked at shoulder which does in fact threaten the structure, approx. 12cm circular; cover with a series of chips around rim; other jar good.
A GROUP OF CLOISSONNÉ, comprising a baluster vase, height 24cm, decorated with Iris and other flowers on a turquoise ground (nibbles around neck and large area of damage on shoulder), a covered pot decorated with Iris, reeds and Egret on a dark green ground (lid is loose, wear to edge of lid) together with a three footed censer/incense burner (finial loose, small areas of damage) (3) (Condition Report: all would benefit from a clean, obvious damage mentioned in description)
A SILVER POSY VASE, SALT AND THREE CARRIAGE CLOCKS, tapered polished posy vase on a round weighted base, hallmarked Birmingham, a glass salt mounted with a silver rim, hallmarked Birmingham, together with three brass tone carriage clocks names to include 'Schatz, Swiza and Metamix' (condition report: silver has tarnish, would benefit from a gentle clean and polish, the carriage clocks have not been tested for working order, we cannot guarantee the working order of any clock)
