Carlton Ware 'Hollyhocks' pattern lustre vase in colourful underglaze on an orange ground, 15cm high.CONDITION REPORT: Looking through a magnifying glass there is a minor loss to the lustre near the rim. There are further small losses to the lustre on the body of the vase. There is age-related colour fading to the floral decoration. Again, looking through a magnifying glass there is crackling to the lustre and to the interior. There is crazing to the rim, the interior and the base. There are losses to the gilding on the rim.
Two Gustavsberg Argenta Ware of Sweden Arts & Crafts design tapered vases decorated with black vertical and concentric lines on a green ground, shape no. 433 to the underside of one vase, 23cm and 24cm high, and a bowl by the same maker probably designed by Wilhelm Kage, decorated with overlaid fish to the front on green ground, 12cm high, all three with backstamps and original labels. (3)CONDITION REPORT: Top aperture misshapen to one tall vase, could be the design. Minor age-related staining and fading to the glaze on all.
Two Ruskin Pottery vases, one with colourful drip decoration, 15cm high, the other of bottle shape on a green ground, 22cm high, and two other Ruskin design glazed studio pottery vases, backstamp indistinct to both, 19cm and 25.5cm high. (4)CONDITION REPORT: There is minor crazing and age-related staining to all. There is an old label stuck to the underside of the green Ruskin vase. The green Ruskin vase has minor crazing/staining and surface marks. The white spots visible in the image are reflections of the ceiling lights in the saleroom on the glaze.
Group of decorative glass to include a Loetz-style iridescent green glass vase with frilly rim, similar vase, Vaseline glass jug decorated with applied flowerheads, blue glass vase and a French Lalique-style cordial glass, the bowl raised on Bacchus-style nude female stem, largest 20cm high. (5)
Group of Chinese porcelain to include Qing Dynasty blue and white ginger jar, bearing reign marks for Qianlong to the underside, a pair of Kangxi-style prunus decorated cylindrical vases, bearing four character marks for Kangxi to the underside, 20.5cm high, an Imari export plate decorated with pagoda and flowering branches to the well, and a blanc de chine figure of the Goddess Guanyin. (5)CONDITION REPORT: Crazing stress mark to the neck on Guanyin. Further crazing and staining to the underside of Guanyin. Chip to the rim of the ginger jar Age-related chips and nibbles to the rim of the plate. Crazing to the underside of the plate. Chips to the rim of one vase and minor chips to the other vase.
