CONDITION REPORT: Rubbing to the gilding in parts, which is also quite crude to the upper rim, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

A large Doulton Lambeth Silicon Slater's Patent "Chiné Ware" vase of tapering form, gilt heightened with floral sprays on a blue ground, impressed marks and scratched number marks to base, height 22cm. CONDITION REPORT: It is possible this item once had a lid, although the vendor has never known it to have one. There is a small rim chip and a hole through the base in manufacture to presumably allow water to run out. There are two very small chips to the foot rim. Otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

CONDITION REPORT: The finial of the cheese dome cover appears to be coming away form the body creating a stress fracture where it meets the main body. A small 1cm x 3mm chip to inner foot rim of base. The jar and cover: the finial has been broken and crudely glued. Otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

CONDITION REPORT: Pair of vases: some losses to applied floral decoration and some imperfections, both with several areas of restoration to the decoration, some surface dirt and wear. Single vase: hairline to upper band of applied decoration.

CONDITION REPORT: The centre of the foot rim is domes and the vase ever so slightly wobbles when upright. There is a 1mm x 1mm manufacturing flaw to the rim. Some light surface wear.

A Doulton Lambeth stoneware barrel shaped jug commemorating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897, impressed marks to base, height 19.5cm, a Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase with later silver top set with an oval cameo portrait of Albert, and two further oval cameo plaques inscribed "Albert Medal Society of Arts 1885 for Impulse given to Production of Art Pottery in England, presented by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales to Henry Doulton December 21st 1885 at Lambeth Art Pottery", impressed marks to base, height 15cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: Second vase: The top of the vase has been broken and now has a silver enamelled cap with is very badly damaged itself, a few little nibbles to the foot rim, but otherwise OK.

Four pieces of Royal Worcester blush ivory items comprising a small scallop shaped dish with stem modelled as a dolphin, a shell shaped bowl, both with hand painted floral sprays and dated 1909, a foliate and cornucopia decorated vase, height 14cm (af), dated 1908 and a foliate gilt heightened jug, dated 1903, each piece with green stamped manufacturer's mark (4). CONDITION REPORT: Cornucopia vase has a small loss to one of the edges and some rubbing to the gilt, Each piece also has rubbing to the gilt and wear to the bases.

Lot 349

A Royal Worcester porcelain vase of baluster form, hand painted with Highland cattle, signed "H(?) Stinton", probably Harry Stinton, marked in puce to the base, date code for 1918, also marked G702, height 14cm. CONDITION REPORT: The first name initial is illegible but looks like an H. There is a tiny chip to the rim covered with gilt and may be a manufacturing imperfection or a simple restoration. There is an area of firing/glazing imperfection to the opposing side of the main image which is surface bubbles and black dots with tiny similar dots on the neck and area of gilding and odd ones to the rest of the body. Also tarnish to gilding on the band around the flared rim.

A Royal Worcester hand painted rose decorated cabinet cup and saucer, saucer diameter 9.5cm, and a similar small vase signed M. Hunt, height 10cm, all three with puce printed marks (3). CONDITION REPORT: Minor gilt rubbing but basically OK.

A Royal Worcester hand painted rose and butterfly decorated baluster vase, green printed marks to base, numbered 307/10, height 24cm, and a similar twin handled smaller example with puce printed marks, numbered 287, height 16.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Minor rubbing to the gilding but otherwise OK.

Lot 359

A Royal Worcester hand painted twin handled vase decorated with roses, with pierced rim, pierced handles, and unusual scrolling feet, puce printed marks to base, height 23cm, and a similar twin handled example with green printed marks, numbered 248/1574, height 22cm (af) (2). CONDITION REPORT: The larger has minor rubbing to the gilding but otherwise OK, the second has had restoration through the neck and rim, also the upper portion of the handle and through the base where the foot meets the body of a vase.

Lot 360

A large Royal Worcester hand painted rose decorated squat circular vase with reticulated neck and main panel signed R. Austin, green printed marks to base, numbered G703 (lacking inner liner), height 13.5cm, and a Royal Worcester hand painted rose decorated trumpet vase with heavily gilded lower section, puce printed marks numbered 1746, height 24.25cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: There is a 0.4cm hairline crack to the part of the reticulation, otherwise rubbing to the gilding, a few scuffs to the raised points of the neck and lacking inner liner as mentioned, a few surface scratches to the raised parts, and the trumpet vase has minor rubbing to the gilding but basically OK.

A Locke & Co Worcester pressed porcelain vase of squat globular form with slender tapering leaf mould decorated neck, a pink glazed cup and saucer with moulded rims, and a Royal Worcester white and turquoise saucer, marked in puce to base, dated 1894, diameter 16cm, and a similar cup and deep saucer with gilt heightened edges (4).

A Royal Worcester porcelain vase of globular form with wrythen twist body, marked in blue to base, dated 1904, height 7cm, a square tapering vase decorated with an applied lizard, a trinket box modelled as a vegetable (lacking lid), dated 1896, a modern Royal Worcester trinket box, pattern number 3851, and a Locke & Co limited Worcester electroplate mounted mustard pot (5).

A collection of various predominantly ceramic pill/trinket boxes comprising four Royal Worcester examples, one modelled as an urn (two boxed), Aynsley, Limoges, Crummles, Halcyon, and Royal Crown Derby "Old Imari" pattern, a Halcyon Days porcelain boxed posy vase of square form, a larger example, and a boxed figure of an elephant, also a small group of various porcelain pin dishes. CONDITION REPORT: All boxes generally good, Limoges with tarnish to the mounts and horse decorated piece with small surface scratch. Elephant appears good, so do the pin dishes.

A Royal Crown Derby rose decorated hexagonal baluster vase and cover surmounted with a seated lion and with red printed marks to base, height 32cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: Extensive restoration to the collar where the lid meets the base of the vase, some light surface wear elsewhere.

A Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern decorated miniature campana vase, height 7cm, a further baluster example, and a miniature teapot, also a miniature Wedgwood blue jasperware cup and saucer (4). CONDITION REPORT: Minor gilt rubbing, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

An 18th century Dutch Delft vase of bulbous hexagonal form decorated with a lady in a landscape with underglaze mark of three acorns to base, height 23cm and a further 18th century Dutch Delft vase of double bowl form decorated with floral motifs, with underglaze mark to base, height 31cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The hexagonal vase has been broken and crudely repaired to the top rim. There are chips and bumps to the top rim and down the corners. Also a large chip to the base and other nibbles. other vase has the top rim ground down. Below this rim is a patch of paint and loss, another further down. Rubbing and nibbles to the base.
