Friedrich Karl Gotsch (Pries/Kiel 1900 - Schleswig 1984). Hanne über Blumenvase. 1948. Aquarell von Deckfarben, 55,5 x 69 cm, r. u. sign. und dat. FK Gotsch 1948 sowie monogr. FKG, u. Mitte betitelt, unter Glas gerahmt, ungeöffnet. - Deutscher Landschaftsmaler. G. war zunächst Schüler von H. Ralfs in Kiel, ab 1920 studierte er an der Dresdener Akademie bei O. Hettner und wurde Meisterschüler von O. Kokoschka. Zusammen mit Hilde Goldschmidt studierte er 1926/27 an der Académie Colarossi in Paris. Auf eine Reise in die USA folgten längere Studienaufenthalte in Paris, Italien und München. Nach dem Krieg, in dem er fast sein gesamtes Oeuvre verlor, ließ er sich in St. Peter-Ording an der Nordsee nieder. 1949-51 unterrichtete er am von A. Fiedler in Hamburg gegründeten 'Baukreis'. 1971 wurde er zum Professor ernannt, im selben Jahr erfolgte die Gründung der F.-K.-Gotsch-Stiftung.
