A pair of rouge marble and gilt metal mounted table lamps, 20th century, having a vase shaped polished stone body with gilt metal twin handles and raised square pedestal upon scrolling feet. Height excluding shade and fittings 58 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both shades are free form any tears however both would require a clean, one particularly more so on the top edge. One vase base has light surface scratches to the body which may polish out, whilst the other vase base appears to be free from any surface scratches. The metal mounts appear to be in good order on both with no obvious faults. Both lamps are in working condition.

Lot 132

Four Chinese porcelain vases, late 20th century, including a pair with black ruyi head and pendants above the main body with polychrome enamel flowering peony decoration and seal marks to the reverse for Zhongguo Jingdezhen Zhi printed in green "Made in China", height 31.3 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The pair of vases are in good condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. There are no cracks. The top rims have lost all of the gilding however. The small vase is in good order with no condition issues. The single larger vase has had a break to the top lip and a section glued. There is some rubbing to the black pattern beneath the rim. Other than the damage to the lip the condition is good.

Lot 134

A Chinese crackle ware vase, late 19th century, the neck with moulded opposing Shi Shi above a key band, the body decorated with a blue and white Feng upon rockwork framed by peony and chrysanthemums, incised four character Chenghua mark, 62 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The body is in generally good condition throughout with no obvious chips or cracks. The plain areas are brown stained throughout. The foot rim has tiny nibbles, but these look to have been done during manufacture.

Lot 140

A Chinese blue and white double gourd vase, late 19th century, painted with females playing Go within a garden surrounding, four character Kangxi mark, 26.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: There are some small pin head and smaller sized fritting to the rim (approximately 5). There is a small glaze chip to the top of the rim. There is a very fine 6 cm long hairline crack within the glaze which is not instantly visible. Otherwise the remainder of the body appears to be in good order with no further cracks, chips or flaws visible.

Lot 141

Two Chinese blue and white vases, late 19th century, the taller example painted with figures in a garden surrounding beneath a pine tree, the onion shaped vase decorated with a dragon and Feng amongst clouds between a Ruyi head and false gadroons, both with four character Kangxi marks, 25.5 cm and 15.5 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: Both vases appear to be in good order with no obvious faults. They both appear to be free from any chips, cracks or defects. There are no signs of restoration.

A Chinese blue and white inverted baluster vase and cover, late 19th century, decorated with street vendors and entertainers, the lid with Shi Shi knop, pseudo four character Qianlong mark. Height 52 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lid has two small rim chips. The very bottom lip of the lid is also nibbled. The base of the vase is in good order with no damage, repairs or restoration. We cannot see any evidence of any cracks.

A Chinese blue and white vase, 18th century, the neck with applied Chilong amongst precious objects, the body decorated with scholars reading a scroll and with attendants and assorted accoutrements with Ruyi sceptre and peaches. Height 44.5 cm (see illustration).

Lot 174

A Chinese Canton porcelain vase, mid 19th century, having a shaped rim above the waisted neck with panels of figures flanked by Shi Shi and Chilong, the body with panels of dignitaries and attendants and verso a battle scene amongst mountains, with peony, chrysanthemum decoration between with magpies, all above a false gadrooned border. Height 61 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a very fine 23 cm long hairline crack running from the bottom of the vase through to the centre. There is a further very fine 29 cm hairline crack issuing from the bottom of the vase up towards the centre and a very fine hairline crack to the left of the warring parties panel. There are also very fine cracks to the underside and a small section approximately 1.5 cm of blown foot rim (caused by a trapped air bubble within the clay). The rim is in good order and free from any chips and cracks. The Shi Shi handles are intact although one pup has a 1 cm section of its tail missing. The Chilong around the shoulder are in good order though one does have a firing crack on one claw. Overall the enamel decoration is good throughout with no obvious losses to the enamel. Other than the faults mentioned it is a good decorative piece.

Lot 183

A pair of Chinese blue and white blossoming prunus pattern vases, late 19th century, with four character pseudo Kangxi mark, 35.5 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase has a 3 cm x 2 cm 'V' shape section which has been broken and restored. From the bottom of the 'V' there issues a 4 cm very fine hairline crack on the interior. Approximately 7 cm below the shoulder of the main body there is a very fine hairline crack which runs down towards the foot rim stopping approximately 4 cm from the foot rim then angling a further 4 cm downwards to the right stopping approximately 2 cm from the foot rim. The other vase has restoration overspray throughout the top of the rim and also a clear underspray on the underside of the rim. The body of this vase appears to be free from any cracks. Both foot rims are free from any chips, cracks or restorations. The vases are approximately 13 cm at their widest.

Lot 194

A pair of Japanese Imari vases, circa 1900, with flared rims above reeded bodies, a single Imari patterned vase and a scalloped Imari charger, tallest 20 cm, diameter of charger 31 cm.

Lot 195

A Japanese Kutani vase, circa 1900, decorated with birds amongst blossoming flowers, signed Kutani, height 25 cm and a Chinese celadon ground vase, 20th century, with incised decoration of opposing dragons amongst lotus scrolls with a Ruyi head shoulder and false gadroons to the base upon a carved hardwood stand, the vase 23.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The Kutani vase is free from any post production chips, cracks or restorations. The decoration is generally good however the tip of one birds wing has a small rub mark. The gilding around the base is lightly rubbed. The Celadon vase is in good order throughout although an attempt has been made to erase the mark on the underside which states "Made in China". This attempt to erase the mark has left a rubbed patch with numerous surface scratches. The body of the vase though has no issues. The wooden stand top detaches from the bottom and is much earlier than the vase. Other than this issue the stand is in relatively good order with a couple of minor chips.

Lot 201

A pair of Chinese handpainted vases, 20th century, depicting three scholars seated at a table beneath a tree decked with lanterns flanked by two figures painted in a red palette with black beards and hair, their robes with gilt decoration, pseudo six character Jiaqing seal mark in red. Height 31 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase has cloud decoration to the top of the shoulder, one of these clouds has a 5 cm firing crack. The gilding to both vases around the rim has been rubbed but the majority is still intact. Both vases appear to be free from any post production chips, cracks or restorations and are generally in good order.

Lot 203

A pair of Chinese crackle ware vases, late 19th century, each decorated with a pair of relief dragons chasing a pearl and with blossoming prunus branch handles, four character pseudo Chenghua incised mark. Height 44 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top of one vase has been broken and glued in numerous places leaving rim chips, interior glaze chips and losses. The remainder of the vase is in good order. Its companion vase has a small fingernail size chip to the exterior of the rim. Otherwise the remainder of the vase is in good decorative order.

Lot 207

A Chinese Famille Rose ginger jar and cover, 19th century, the shoulder decorated with Ruyi heads and peonies against a pink ground, the body with lotus flower and lanterns with precious objects all above a yellow ground false gadroon border, with two blue concentric rings to the underside and applied Collectors Inventory No. 136. Height 20.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cover and body of the vase appear to be free from any visible chips, cracks or restorations. There are minor losses to some of the enamel decoration but nothing that is to detrimental in my opinion. Overall in good condition with very few post production issues.

Lot 210

A Chinese biscuit porcelain hexagonal vase, 19th century, the shoulder decorated with stiff leaves, the body with a relief moulded dragon amongst clouds and above waves, the sides with Buddhist symbols tied in ribbons all in a green, yellow and aubergine ground and with impressed Qianlong seal mark to the underside. Height 21 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a dark green band around the rim which is disguising restoration. On close inspection it would appear that the uppermost side panel rim has been restored which has overlapped onto the panel to the front and behind it. The remainder of the green banding looks to have been applied in order to make the item uniform. The remainder of the vase appears to be in good order throughout.

Lot 211

A Chinese blue and white ginger jar, 19th century, decorated with two boys lifting a large vase and cover on stand all against a blossom and bird ground, with four character Kangxi mark and applied Collectors Inventory No. 348. Height 25 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cover has a thumbnail size chip to the interior rim from which issues a 5 cm hairline crack. There is a further 2.5 cm hairline crack issuing from the rim. The ginger jar itself appears to be in good order however there is a very tiny 3 mm long black line which looks to be slightly indented on the interior of the rim. Under close inspection it looks like a manufacturing flaw. Other than that the jar is in good order throughout with no obvious signs of chips cracks or restorations.

Lot 220

A large pair of Chinese famille rose vases and covers, 19th century, decorated with numerous figures within an interior scene, the reverse with similar figures on exterior, applied inventory number 329 label to the underside. Height 31 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in very good order with no damage, repairs and no restoration. We can see no evidence of any hairline cracks to either the body or the lid. The second vase is in less good order. The lid is in good order with no issues other than rubbing to the gilding. The interior lip on to which the lid sits has numerous edge losses and chips. With the lid I place these are not really visible. There are also some nibbles to the glaze around the top rim of the vase. The base of the vase has concentric hairline cracks and there are numerous hairline cracks and glaze cracks to the main body of the vase which is also brown stained in places. When you view the vase from the inside the hairline cracks are also visible as are several star cracks. The paintwork on both vases is in generally good order with only very minor losses.

Lot 223

A close pair of Chinese cylindrical vases and domed covers, early 20th century, each decorated with the 100 boys in a dragon procession, each 23.5 cm high, two further Chinese cylindrical vases and covers, 20th century, one with Ruyi head shoulder decorated with a dragon amongst tight peony flower scroll, the other with a shoulder decorated with peony against a blue scroll ground. 23 cm and 21 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The green ground dragon vase has a rim to almost foot rim hairline crack. The cover to the blue ground vase has a full-length hairline crack. The vase itself appears to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or signs of restoration. On the near pair ofvases the right-hand example has a restored cover which seems to be disguising a full-length hairline crack, the interior of the cover has been over-sprayed. The jar for this cover appears to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or signs of restoration. Its companion vase is in good order throughout with no signs of any chips, cracks or restorations.

Lot 224

A pair of Chinese blue and white vases, late 19th century, each with a flared rim and decorated with landscaped panels. Height 25.5 cm. Two further Chinese sleeve vases, late 19th century, each with a slightly flaring rim, one with prunus blossom decoration, the other with panels of figures and prunus blossom ground, each with pseudo four character Kangxi mark. 31 cm and 25 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: One of the pair of vases has been broken in two leaving large cracks and adhesive residue. Its partner vase has a long crack running from the rim to halfway down the body. There is a small Y shape firing crack to the underside. Both rims are free from any chips or restorations. The two individual vases both have extensive interior overspraying and restoration all around the rims.

Two Chinese blue and white ginger jars and cover, late 19th century, one with prunus blossom decoration, the underside with two concentric rings and with applied collectors inventory number 114, the other with a dragon amongst clouds with two concentric rings to the underside and collectors inventory number 264. 21 cm and 15 cm respectively, and a 19th century inverted baluster vase, decorated with figures on rockwork, pseudo six character Kangxi mark to the underside within two blue concentric circles. Height 18 cm.

Lot 227

A pair of Chinese Famille Verte ginger jars and covers, late 19th/early 20th century, each depicting warriors and a scholar on horseback, one with two concentric rings to the underside and with collectors inventory number 308, and a Chinese globular vase and cover, 20th century, depicting warring figures on horseback and foot and with rubber stamped four character mark to the underside. 19 cm and 21 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The large vase and cover - the cover has a small chip to the enamel on one flower. The main body appears to be in good order and free from any chips, cracks or restorations. |It is not of any significant age. One ginger jar lid as been broken in two and glued. The body is in good order and free from any chips, cracks or restorations. Its matching vase and cover appear to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The colours are a little washed out on this example and the reds are not as vibrant as its counterpart. This example has two concentric rings to the underside.

Lot 234

A near pair of Chinese blue and white bottle vases, 19th century, decorated with a pagoda and river landscape, 26 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The vase with the shallower neck decoration has a 1 cm x 5 mm chip on the rim interior and a 1 cm slither of rim frit. There is a small spot of kiln dirt to the right of the main pagoda next to the tree trunk. Other than the chips mentioned there appear to be no hairline cracks, no further chips or restorations. There are one or two very fine scratches on the surface but these are not instantly visible. Its partner vase with the wider neck rim decoration appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious signs of any chips, cracks or restorations. There are one or two very fine surface scratches but nothing that is detrimental in our opinion. Both foot rims appear to be in good order with no obvious chips.

Lot 236

Chinese porcelain, 19th/20th century, comprising a slender sleeve vase, a brush pot, inverted baluster vase, a modern yellow ground vase and cover and an early 18th century Japanese Imari jug. CONDITION REPORT: The brush pot has a large chip missing to the rim from which issues a large U shape hairline crack held by 3 rivets. The bird decorated slender spill vase has three 4 cm fine hairline cracks issuing from the rim. The meiping shape vase has a fully restored neck and has fritting chips all around the base. The vase depicting a figure seated upon a kylin has a rectangular section of top rim with sections of glazing missing. The yellow ground vase and cover is in good order but not of the highest quality. The largest spill vase has two large hairline cracks issuing from the rim and has been reduced in height. There are sections of fritting around the lower part of the vase just above the foot rim. The Japanese jug has a replacement handle and numerous repaired cracks and flaws.

Lot 250

A Chinese Celadon ground vase, 19th century, with pierced handles and decorated with a Feng above a seated Kirin amongst clouds, height 58.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a 3 cm scratch to the interior of the neck however this does not seem to be a crack. The handles and body all appear to be in good order with no obvious chips or cracks. There are large but very fine star shaped cracks to the underside which are slightly discoloured
