A PAIR OF QUEEN ANNE BLACK JAPANNED SIDE CHAIRS, the padded backs with arched cresting and moulded frames over padded seats with fringes, on bold turned front legs incorporating moulded discs and joined by a carved and pierced front stretcher with a simplified stretcher behind surmounted by a turned vase-shaped finial, on carved "Braganza" feet, 18" wide (2). See illustration Literature: These chairs may be compared to a set of ten "japanned" examples supplied by John Burroughs to Stoneleigh Abbey, Warwickshire in 1709, illustrated by Adam Bowett: "English Furniture 1660-1714", published Woodbridge, Suffolk 2002. According to Bowett these are the earliest documented back-chairs with fully raked back legs and "braganza" feet.

A Chinese Famille Verte ginger jar decorated with figures in a landscape, height 15cm, three Chinese crackle glazed vessels, the tallest of baluster form, decorated with battle scenes, square mark to base, a lobed bowl, height 35cm, a squat lobed bowl with Eastern type decoration and a square shaped white tea caddy (6). CONDITION REPORT: The lid of the ginger has been broken and restored. Crackle glaze vase decorated with a bird has been extensively broken and crudely repaired. Lobed bowl has crazing throughout. Blue and white caddy has a nibble to the top rim.
A Moorcroft blue ground tubeline decorated ginger jar and cover commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, impressed and printed marks to base 2001 (a 2nd), height 15.5cm, a Doulton Lambeth Stoneware footed vase decorated with a band of stylised leaf decoration, height 18cm, a 19th century floral decorated part dessert service. CONDITION REPORT: The dessert service has extensive rubbing to the gilding, a lot of discolouration, noticeably to the turquoise, surface scratches etc. One of the tazzas of the service is cracked.

A late/early 20th century Continental porcelain baluster decorative twin handled vase overall decorated with encrusted flower heads, unmarked, height 31cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are several areas of losses to encrusted decoration, otherwise appears to be in good condition.

A late 19th century Chinese porcelain baluster vase painted in underglaze blue with figural garden scenes within two floral borders, bearing four character mark to the base, height 27.5cm (rim af), with associated cover. CONDITION REPORT: The rim has got areas of hairlines and one spreading into longer one terminating with a star hairline, also areas of pitting/firing imperfections, also some nibbles around the upper edge of the base, the associated cover with three major chips and rubbing/nibbles all around the edge, with two hairline cracks.

CONDITION REPORT: Some marking to larger vase. Gilt rubbed to top and bottom. Smaller vase has some wear to grey/black enamel around neck and top of neck. Please see additional images.
A 19th century Chinese porcelain Famille Verte gu vase painted in enamels with various floral blossoming branches and iron red geometrical bands, bearing double circular mark to base, height 8cm (restored). CONDITION REPORT: Extensive restoration to the rim and area beneath it, some traces of restoration to the base and odd areas of fillings.
