A rare Clarice Cliff 'Dryday' pattern vase, the ribbed vase with swollen shoulder and tapering neck with applied twin ring handles, raised on circular foot, pattern number 779, blue Clarice Cliff Wilkinson England underglaze mark to base, dating piece to 1937-39, 12in. (30.5cm.) high. * Condition: Hairline crack to upper neck, otherwise good.
A pair of English enamelled creamware chinoiserie vases, late 18th / early 19th century, possibly Lowestoft, of baluster form, finely painted with Long Eliza style figures in gardens, within underglaze blue reserves and diaper, Fitzhugh and lappet borders, with enamelled floral sprigs, 10½in. (26.75cm.) high, both a/f; together with an 18th/19th century Delft double gourd vase with blue and white chinoiserie decoration, 12¼in. (31cm.) high, rim a/f. (3) * For a Lowestoft porcelain vase with very similar enamelled decoration, see Bonhams Knightsbridge, 'The Liane Richards Collection', 13th April 2016, Lot 192. * Condition: - Pair vases: One has a large patch of glaze missing from the upper body and one other small glaze chip - it also has heavy glaze crazing throughout with a 1in. vertical hairline to the lower body. The other also has glaze crazing (but lighter) and also a piece missing from the rim. - Delft: Top of neck missing. Three chips to underside of foot.
A Dutch Delft trumpet form vase, probably 19th century, of fluted, octagonal form, painted in blue with chinoiserie style panels depicting figures and birds in fenced gardens, within borders of dense floral scrollwork, signed to base, 11½in. (29.2cm.) high. * Condition: Several tiny glaze chips to rim and several small glaze chips to base. One larger chip to edge of base. No other damage noted.
A Limoges porcelain vase and cover, mid-20th century, with gilt brass mounts, ovoid form, decorated with floral reserves and swags, the gilt reserve signed 'Limoges', 15in. (38cm.) high; together with a pair of Dresden porcelain candlesticks, with similar floral, gilt and cobalt blue decoration, blue factory marks, 7in. (18cm.) high. (3) * Condition: - Limoges vase: Very good, with no faults. - Candlesticks: Tiny frit to rim of one stick. Otherwise good.
A large collection of traditional Poole Pottery tableware, of varying patterns including an hors d'oeuvres dish decorated in the fish pattern, further hors d'oeuvres trays; water jug; various bowls; lamp base; covered cheese dishes; vase; mustard pots; ashtrays; butter tray; covered salt pot, etc. (27) * Condition: Generally good, two pieces with chip to rim.
A Sevres style ormolu mounted porcelain vase lamp, early 20th century, ovoid form, the two gilt and jewel bordered reserves painted with a courting couple in a garden and a floral spray with bird and butterfly, with twin caryatid handles and fluted and laurel bordered socle to an incuse square base, 14¾in. (37.5cm.) high, plus fittings, converted to electricity. * Condition: Has not been drilled - lamp conversion was a top fixing which has been removed. No damage to porcelain. Some gilt wear and 50% losses to red 'jewels' around the reserve of the courting couple. Gilt wear to ormolu mounts.
A Sevres style porcelain vase, late 19th century, ovoid with a waisted neck, square pedestal base and twin foliate scroll handles, painted with a portrait of beauty and a floral bouquet, on a celeste blue ground, 9¾in. (24.75cm.) high; together with a pair of Paris style porcelain baluster vases with twin mask handles, 8¾in. (22.25cm.) high; and a Sitzendorf vase and cover in the Dresden style. (4) * Condition: - Sevres style vase: Tiny chip at top of pedestal foot. Some gilt wear. - Pair Paris style vases: One with chip at top of foot section where it joins the body. Gilt wear to both. - Vase & cover: Some gilt wear. Otherwise good.
An Art Nouveau style two tier étagère in the manner of Emile Gallé, the shaped oval top inlaid with a vase of flowers, over the larger, lower tier with a floral spray and the signature 'Emile Gallé' to one leaf, the tiers separated by four reeded column supports, above tapered, reeded outswept legs, 36 3/8 x 24in. (92.3 x 61cm.), 31¼in. (79.3cm.) high.
A Moorcroft Pottery 'Lamia' pattern vase, of slender ovoid form, tubeline decorated in the Lamia pattern, depicting a pond scene with reeds and lilies on cream / blue ground, designed by Rachel Bishop, c.1995, painted and impressed marks to base, 10in. (25.4cm.) high. * Condition: Good, nothing to note.
An Art Nouveau silver mounted cranberry glass vase, Continental, early 20th century, of baluster form on a plain foot with ground pontil, the silver overlay of sinuous floral and petal design, 8in. (20.5cm.) high; together with a short, iridescent green glass vase with wrythen decoration (reduced in height); and an Art Deco gilt copper mounted covered jar, of squat bun form, with stylised berry decoration and star cut base, 3½in. (9cm.) high. (3) * Condition: - Silver overlay vase: Good condition No damage to glass. A few minute dings to edge of foot and rim to silver overlay. - Green vase: Cut down - some fritting around rim. - Copper overlay: Gilt heavily worn. Otherwise good.
A Moser 'Heliolit' glass vase, of broad flared form with alternating scale-like vertical facetting, the glass exhibits green tones by daylight and reddish-amber tones by UV light, 3 7/8in. (10cm.) high, etched signature to base 'Moser Karlsbad' and 'Heliolit'. * Condition: Good, nothing to note.
A 1930s hand painted clear glass vase - Hunting interest, the slightly tapering cylindrical vase with central hand painted hunting scene, depicting a fox hunt, the higher and lower rims with red banding, 8 3/8in. (21.3cm.) high. * Condition: Good condition, nothing to note.
A late 19th century Japanese bronze dragon vase, having cast bronze dragon chasing a flaming pearl amidst clouds, with later wooden base and cover, polished bronze finial, overall height 12¾in. (32.4cm.). * Condition: The vase with pierced underside/base, the wooden sections later.
A pair of Japanese porcelain Imari vase lamps, late 19th century, the tapered, fluted ovoid form vases painted in the typical palette with floral reserves, with ornate brass Kosmos oil lamp fittings and bases, converted to electricity, 16¼in. (41.25cm.) high overall. (2) * Condition: Lamp fittings have not been removed but the porcelain appears to be undamaged. Some gilt wear. Not tested - should be assumed to require rewiring prior to use.
A Chinese Yuan or early Ming style porcelain Meiping vase, painted in blue against a pale celadon glazed ground, with two dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst flames, above a tumultuous sea, the shoulder with repeating scroll border and spiked foliate fringe collar, below a short neck with slightly everted rim, 13½in. (34.25cm.) high, two chips to base. * Condition: Two chips to edge of base (one 10 x 13mm., the other 2 x 2mm.). Some scratching to glaze visible, notably to centre, widest area of body but also some scratches to glaze elsewhere. Glaze flaw to shoulder, just below scroll band - the glaze is thickly pooled here with a fine, uneven line which is unglazed beneath. Dark spotting to glaze throughout and one burst bubble to glaze to very back of one dragon. No other damage or faults.
A Chinese purple flambe glazed meiping vase, probably Qianlong (1736-1795), the four lobed meiping form vase with very short, narrow neck and slightly flared foot, in streaked lavender to purple glaze, with turned hardwood cover, 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high plus cover. * Condition: The hardwood has been glued in place at some stage and there is some clear glue residue left to the surface of the glaze around the neck rim. There are three small chips (from the making) around the foot. No other faults - good overall.
A fine Chinese porcelain famille rose baluster vase, 18th / 19th century, underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark to base, possibly of the period, with flared foot and upstanding neck, finely painted and enamelled with a pair of phoenixes and a crane, perched on pierced rockwork in a garden landscape with bamboo and extensive flowers including peonies, chrysanthemums and roses, the rim painted with floral motifs above a diaperwork and ruyi pendant collar, 14in. (35.5cm.) high, with pierced and silver wire inlaid hardwood cover. * Condition: Minor gilt wear. No other faults - very good overall. Remnants of old label beneath cover.
A Chinese porcelain oval dish, Kangxi period (1662-1722), painted with peonies in a vase on a rocky outcrop, beside bamboo and chrysanthemums, within diaper and floral spray borders, 10 3/8in. (26.4cm.) long, rim chips; together with a matched pair of small saucer dishes, probably Wanli period (1573-1619), painted with a circular floral reserve within a petalled floral and foliate border, each signed with a conch shell symbol to the base within a double concentric circle, 5 1/8in. (13cm.) diameter. (3) * Provenance: Duveen, Liverpool wax seals to the oval dish and one of the saucer dishes. *Condition: - Oval dish: Rim with one large chip (1.5cm.) and one smaller chip (0.5cm.). Minor glaze wear and light scratches to well. No other faults. - Saucer dishes: One with two chips to underside of rim and several glaze frits. The other with a few small glaze frits to rim.
A Chinese stoneware hexagonal baluster vase, probably 19th / early 20th century, the powder blue glazed vase extensively enamelled in an archaic style with Zhuanshu symbols and beasts on turquoise and pink cloud panels, within primrose yellow diaper and keywork borders, 12in. (30.5cm.) high, lacks handles. * Condition: Handles are broken off and missing - enamel loss whenre these were originally attached. Two tiny glaze chips beneath rim (which have been touched-in with blue paint). No other faults.
A set of four Chinese export porcelain blue and white soup bowls, late 18th century, octagonal form, painted with a vase and flowers to the centre, the rim with floral sprigs and diaper border, 8¾in. (22.25cm.) diameter, one badly cracked; together with a larger rounded octagonal saucer dish, painted with a lake landscape with pagodas and figure on a bridge below a Fitzhugh border, 10in. (25.5cm.) diameter, stapled repair. (5) * Condition: - Four bowls: One in good condition. One with crack to rim. One with crack across side of well and shallow rim chip. One with large crack across the centre and shallow rim chip. - Saucer dish: Stapled repair and two 2in. hairlines to rim.
A small Chinese porcelain blue and white bottle vase, probably Kangxi period (1662-1722), painted with four clawed dragons amidst clouds and flames, on a circular foot, 5¾in. (14.6cm.) high. * Condition: Minute glaze frit to rim. No other faults. Good condition overall.
A pair of Chinese Canton famille rose vases, 19th century, the ovoid bodies beneath waisted necks with twin gilt kylin handles and bixies to the shoulders, painted in enamels with typical panels with figures on verandas and pheasants amidst flowers, 10¼in. (26cm.) high; together with a Japanese porcelain baluster vase, with polychrome painted flowers and butterflies over an underglaze blue ground, 12¾in. (32.4cm.) high. (3) * Condition: - Pair vases: Both with some gilt wear. One with piece off from rim with glued repair (well executed). No other faults. - Japanese vase: Good condition with minor gilt wear.
A closely matched pair of Chinese porcelain crackle glaze vases, late 19th / early 20th century, baluster form with twin Kylin handles and bixies to the shoulder, painted in the famille rose verte palette with warriors, incised four character mark, 11½in. (29.2cm.) high; together with two smaller graduated vases. (4) * Condition: One of the larger vases with crack across the base. Second smallest vase with rim chip. The other two in good condition.
A pair of Chinese export twin handled porcelain blue and white vases, Qianlong period (1736-1795), of inverted baluster form with twin dragon handles and a slightly waisted, flared foot, painted with buildings in lake landscapes, between diaper, lappet and pendant borders, with European gilded enrichment, 9 1/8in. (23.2cm.) high, one a/f. (2) * Condition: Both with gilt wear. One vase in good condition with no damage. The other has extensive damage to one handle and the head is off the other - the majority of the pieces to repair are with the lot. Also has a hairline crack to foot.
