A large 19th century Arts & Crafts baluster vase, marked Puente del Arzobispo (Toledo Spain), Jade green glaze decorated with leaping deer, huntsmen, young maidens and windmills, outlined in black, typical 18th and 19th century style for this pottery, with accompanying metal stand, height 55cm. Originally owned by John Mackintosh of Gibraltar (1865-1940), philanthropist. The main square of Gibraltar, a hospital ward and the John Mackintosh Hall, main cultural centre of Gibraltar all being named after him.
