Five Chinese blue and white miniature ginger jars (one with cover), a small blue and white vase and cinnabar lacquered bowl on stand CONDITION REPORTS All ginger jars approx 9.5 cm. Vase approx 10.5 cm. Cinnabar bowl approx 8.5 cm x diameter approx 20.5 cm excluding wooden base.All ginger jars have light surface scratches, accretions, etc. The lidded ginger jar has an old repair which spans almost half the body of the jar. The cinnabar bowl has some light surface scratches, accretions, some tarnishing and wear to the metal rim. All items have wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
A pair of 19th Century Chinese blue and white baluster shaped vases and covers decorated with four toed dragons bearing four character Kangxi marks to base, another similar vase decorated with lake landscape and figures, another smaller blue and white baluster shaped vase decorated with four toed dragon, bearing four character mark to base and two further Chinese blue and white vases (6) CONDITION REPORTS The lidded vases have light surface scratches, accretions. There is an old repair and a crack to the rim on one of them and also a crack to the rim on the other. There is a crack to the side of the vase which has been repaired. There are two areas of loss to one of the lids and some chips. Also the second lid has a chip and an area of loss to the underside of the edge. Both approx 29 cm.The baluster vase with the landscapes has some light surface scratches, a small hairline crack to the inside of the rim - possiby just the glaze. Accretions. Areas of loss and nibbles to the glaze at the flared foot of the vase. The baluster vase with the dragon and oxide glaze decoration has crazing throughout and some areas of discolouration, surface scratches, accretions, etc.The two remaining baluster shaped vases have light surface scratches, accretions and one of them has a small hairline crack on the inside of the rim and a crack to the side.These vases range from approx 18cm-24 cm.All items have general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. A pair of Chinese Gaungxu (1875-1908) turquoise ground vases decorated en grisaille with four toed dragons and scrolling flowers flanked by elephant head handles, raised on a circular foot, bears six character mark to base CONDITION REPORTS Overall condition sound. Some slight damage to the glaze - see images. Craquelure to the glaze in several areas - particularly around the necks and some wear to the gilding around the rim and minor firing blemishes to the glaze - particularly to the interior - see images for further detail. Hairline crack to one vase rim, approx 1cm long vertically. Also included in this lot is the letter from Porree Taylor of London, being the receipt for the vases in 1981 for £220. A 19th Century Chinese famille-rose vase decorated with figures in a landscape, the neck decorated in relief with four salamander in blue and oxide red, raised on a circular foot CONDITION REPORTS Some light surface scratches, accretions, etc. Wear to the gilt on the rim of the vase. The prunus decorated vases have some wear to the gilt, some minor surface scratches, areas of discolouration, etc. The lidded prunus decorated vase has an old repair to the lid and a chip to the underside of the lid, surface scratches, accretions, etc. Some areas of discolouration. Some surface scratches, accretions, etc. There is an old repair to the rim of one of the jars and a couple of chips to the inside of the rim on the same vase. The second vase has a chip to the rim and a couple of chips to the base. Some minor surface scratches, accretions, etc. The lid has some imperfections to the glaze on the edge where part of the glaze has some loss. A pair of Chinese Kangxi square baluster shaped vases in famille-verte palette, decorated with kylin and birds CONDITION REPORTS Height approx 21 cm. Vase 1 - with scratch to the surface of the glaze to the left of the kylin's face below the lot number (61), approx 3.5 cm vertically. What looks like damage beneath his tail to the right with possible re-painting and certainly some difference in the glaze. There appears to be a hairline crack to the interior diagonally across the side opposite the lot number which is not visible from the outside - see image. Otherwise basically sound though with wear and tear conducive with age - ie. some wear to the decoration around the neck particularly and dirt throughout. Vase 2 - whilst this has the appearance of being basically sound at the same time, the neck has had restoration upon close inspection with scratch to the surface on side panel - see image. Evidence of re-painting around the banding of the neck. The main body appears to be in good order though with some areas of minor wear - particularly to the gilding and overall dirty throughout. Minor blemishes to the glaze in some areas.

There appears to be a crack and an old repair from the base of the neck down towards the middle. Some nibbles to the base. The chestnut basket has some light surface scratches, accretions, etc. The tealight holder also has light surface scratches and accretions as does the scent bottle. A 19th Century Chinese yellow ground vase and cover decorated throughout with various kylin amongst clouds, the cover similarly decorated, 28 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some surface scratches, accretions, some areas of crazing just outside the rim on top of the shoulder of the jar. The lid has surface scratches and scuffs to the top. There is a crack and chip to the side of the lid. There are two small areas of loss to the glaze although this was in the firing process. Some areas of discolouration mainly to the lid. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
