A large Chinese porcelain blue and white vase, probably 19th century, of substantial pear shaped form, with two stag head handles, painted with five scholars inspecting a scroll and their attendants in a wooded garden, 17in. (43cm.) high, repair to rim. * A piece from the rim has been off and has been repaired - this has been done to only a fair standard, as there is obvious overpainting of the porcelain to the exterior and interior. There is also a faint hairline elsewhere on the rim and there are chips to the tip of four smaller prongs on the stags' antlers. Some scratching to the glaze and some glaze crazing to the lower part of the body, which shows some discolouration.
A large Chinese blue and white vase, probably early 19th century, of broad baluster form with short slightly tapered neck and four lion mask handles to the shoulder, painted with two four toed dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst clouds and flames, above a tumultuous sea with single rocky outcrop, 19in. (48.25cm.) high, small chip to rim. * Small chip and one tiny glaze frit to rim. Glaze chip to one mask handle. Otherwise good with some scratches to glaze to exterior.
A Chinese porcelain oval dish, Kangxi period (1662-1722), painted with peonies in a vase on a rocky outcrop, beside bamboo and chrysanthemums, within diaper and floral spray borders, 10 3/8in. (26.4cm.) long, rim chips; together with a matched pair of small saucer dishes, probably Wanli period (1573-1619), painted with a circular floral reserve within a petalled floral and foliate border, each signed with a conch shell symbol to the base within a double concentric circle, 5 1/8in. (13cm.) diameter. (3) * Provenance: Duveen, Liverpool wax seals to the oval dish and one of the saucer dishes. ** - Oval dish: Rim with one large chip (1.5cm.) and one smaller chip (0.5cm.). Minor glaze wear and light scratches to well. No other faults. - Saucer dishes: One with two chips to underside of rim and several glaze frits. The other with a few small glaze frits to rim.
A Chinese porcelain famille rose verte gu shaped vase, 19th century, painted to the three sections with horses in a woodland, tigers in a mountain landscape and birds in a pomegranate tree, divided by diaper, toothed and dentil borders, the foot with wave border, 18in. (45.75cm) high, base with chip and crack.* Three chips to edge of base and crack across base itself. No other faults - decoration good.
A Chinese porcelain blue and white rouleau vase, Qianlong four character mark but probably 19th century, painted with a pair of dragons chasing the flaming pearl amidst clouds and flames and above a tumultuous sea, the shoulder with a band of bats and clouds, the neck with dentil and ruyi bands below a keywork rim, 10¼in. (26cm.) high, crack to neck. * Hairline crack to lower neck. Firing blemishes to glaze around the mark. No other faults.
A Chinese porcelain blue and white baluster dragon vase, Kangxi (1662-1722) four character mark to the base, probably 19th century, the broad-shouldered baluster body rising to a sharply waisted neck and everted rim, well painted with a five-clawed dragon leaping amidst flames and smoke in pursuit of flaming pearls, above a tumultuous sea with dotted spray and a rocky outcrop, double concentric lines to rim and foot, 17½in. (44.5cm.) high. * Some kiln dust flaws and burst bubbles to glaze. Otherwise in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration.
A pair of large Japanese cloisonné vases, Meiji period (1868-1912), ovoid form with waisted necks and everted rim, decorated with peonies and butterflies on a pale salmon pink ground, 13in. (33cm.) high, one damaged. (2) * One with a star crack just above the base and several other cracks visible across the pink ground. Small dent to rim. The other with a number of large star cracks around the upper body, one with slight lifting to the enamel, and a number of other smaller star cracks across the vase. Large dent to rim and patch of flaking from enamel inside the neck rim, plus several other smaller chips inside neck.
A Chinese porcelain black ground large baluster vase, second half 20th century, painted in famille rose enamels with birds and insects amidst flowering aquatic plants, Qianlong seal mark to base but later, 24½in. (62.25cm.) high; together with a similar jar of ovoid form, painted with birds and butterflies amidst flowers in a rocky garden, 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, lacks cover. (2) * Jar lacks cover. No other faults.
A fine pair of Canton Famille Rose vases, 19th century, with applied lizards and mythical creatures, the reserves depicting flowers, birds, insects and figures, on a gilt floral and foliate ground with insects and bats, 17½in. (44.5cm) high, one (a/f). * One vase with restoration having large repair to main belly, running through two reserves, starting at lizard tail tip in a large multi star crack, a/f, the other appears good.
Derrick Greaves (British, b.1927), Vase and Leaves lithograph, signed and dated '75 in pencil lower right and numbered 85 of an edition of 100 lower left, metal frame, 29 x 23in. (35.5 x 29cm.). * Vertical line extending the length of the sheet on the left side. Otherwise in good condition. No mount.
A Dresden porcelain vase, with long slender neck, circa 1900, handpainted with figural landscape scenes alternating with floral sprays on yellow ground, surrounded by gilt foliate scroll borders, blue factory mark, 13in. (33cm.) high. * Loss of gilt on borders, some staining on yellow ground, some surface scratches to floral decoration.
An Italian art glass sculpture by Stefano Toso for Murano Gallery, fourth quarter 20th century, in the form of a leaping dolphin supporting a tulip shaped vase, in clear to blue shaded glass striped in dark blue, red, yellow and green, inscribed to edge of base, 'Made by S. Toso for Murano Gallery, exclusively made for Freddie De Gruchy', 35in. (89cm.) high.

Chinese small porcelain ovoid vase, with two scaly dragons pursuing flaming pearls in underglaze copper red, the shoulders and base decorated with false gadroons enclosing lotus flowers in pale underglaze blue, Tien mark in underglaze blue to the base, 17th century (Tien Chi 1621-27), the vase 6.25" high; with a hardwood cover and stand ** Sold by Sotheby & Co 34 and 35 New Bond Street, London - Rare Ming and Manchu Porcelain, the Property of Mrs B.Z. Seligman, ex lot 46 purchased for £40 in 1954 - ** Accompanied with the original Sotheby's catalogue dated May 11th 1954 with the prices and buyer's name confirming lot 46 purchased by J.M. Graham Condition - Private provenance - the rim has a small hairline of less than 1cm as shown in the images. No other visible damages and no restoration. The glaze overall has consistent wear as expected and slightly weaker decoration to the reverse, all details can be viewed in the images supplied
