Blue and white Arita ware bottle vaseJapanese, Kanbun period (1661-1673)of globular pear-shaped form decorated with an island surrounded by water showing a village nestling beneath a tall rock, pine and other trees with a distant view of ships masts and two figures on a short jetty, the foot with border of twin rings, 36cm high overall (For a similar vase see Soames Jenyns Japanese Porcelain illustration No. 17b) Pitting and minimal glaze/firing faults. Possible chip to the foot, under the base. Nothing showing under UV light.
Group of piecesJapanese and Burmeseincluding a pair of cloisonné vases, 24cm high, a pair of small Satsuma vases, signed with a Shimazu Mon, 13cm high, a Satsuma vase and cover, with various Immortals, 23cm high, a Satsuma jar, 14.5cm high and some lacquer bowls. The small vases have some wear. The cloisonne vases have some cracks and bumps. the jar is without a lid and has a crack. The Satsuma vase and cover has wear and some old restoration.
Group of four vasesChinese, 19th Centurycomprising: a near pair of of blue and white cherry blossom vases, each with four character Kangxi mark to the base, 13.5cm high overall, a baluster vase decorated with figures holding a vase on white ground, with four character Kangxi mark to the base, 18.5cm high and one other tall blue and white vase decorated with dragons, unmarked, 30cm high (4) All with overall signs of wear and use, some scratches. Some glaze/firing faults. Hairline cracks to the pair of small vases. Hairline glaze crack to the white vase and some underglaze faults due to firing. The large vase with chips.

Collection of porcelainChinese, 19th/20th Centuryincluding a shaped jardiniere with lotus and phoenix decoration, 31.5cm X 21.5cm x 9cm high, four porcelain and polychrome enamelled lidded bowls, largest 25cm diameter, a similar bowl, a blue and white prunus vase, 40cm high and three Canton porcelain plates (10) The vase is broken and cut down. Two plates have faults, and one of the lidded bowls has lost its finial.
