Her stepfather, Robinson (Ralph) Dixon, ran a china shop in Leith and apparently had connections with the Wemyss factory.

A late 18thC wine glass, the plain bowl raised on a double knop air twist stem, raised on a conical foot, 17cm H, together with a pair of Victorian celery glasses, etched with ferns, 24cm H, and a cut glass vase of tapering square form engraved with roses, 26.5cm H, (AF). (4)
Two similar 19th Century Chinese stoneware crackle glazed baluster vases with covers, both with continuous painted decoration, one with dragons amongst peony blossoms, the other figures in landscapes, brown banding around shoulder and base. Brown Chenghua four character seal mark to base. 48cm high approx. Together with an early 20th Century Japanese Satsuma pottery baluster shaped relief decorated figural vase. 31cm high approx. (3)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: One has significant damage to the neck and cover. The other vase with landscape decoration in better condition with only minor wear and no significant damage. Japanese vase - Hole through base, otherwise good.
Locke & Co Worcester porcelain baluster shaped two handled pot pourri vase and cover with domed lid with pointed finial and foliate reticulated pierced neck, overall with relief gilded fir branch decoration. Printed marks, 26cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Some wear to gilding, no obvious damage noted.
